Well being told they way you are used to playing (which earned you Norris trophies and scoring a ton of points) is wrong and being forced to play a completely different way, will do that to you.

Overreacting to the 2022 Playoff Loss to the Rags and making Matheson and Marino the scapegoats was bad as well.
Thus team has overturned half its Defense(Matheson,Marino >Petry,Ruuttaa>Karlsson,Graves) in 3 Years spent a ton of $$ on the Position and are where they are.

Funny thing is the team has some good pieces. With $12mill in cap space this off season they can ice a competitive team on paper. But Sully can't be the coach. Need a new system, voice.

Agree with the Fleury trade being the line of demarcation .They haven't been a serious contender since that took place.
