If Blomqvist is able to take the step needed this is the way to go next year.

Before February 1st, Jarry is 13-14-4, 2.53GAA, .913SV% (Ned 8-3-3, 2.60 GAA, .916SV%)
Since February 1st, Jarry is 6-8-1, 3.32 GAA, .893 SV% (Ned 2-3, 3.73 GAA, .868 SV%)

There are a lot of issues with this team and I'm not blaming them all on Jarry or the goaltending...but, this is YET ANOTHER YEAR where Jarry has wilted after the All-Star break.

At this point, I really hope Dubas finds a deal for him this summer, and we go with Ned and Blomqvist in net next season. Those 2 combined should cost less than Jarry alone.

What? This game is important? How so? Do you really think this team wakes up and starts to play quality hockey for some reason? The one thing this team has been this year is consistent! Consistently bad. Consistently 500. Consistently underachieving. Why in the hell would you want them to go on a run and give GMKD any hint that they are on the right track? Burn it down!

“If we don’t have Sully, then we’re looking for Sully” smh. No, we look for a coach that comes up with a system that helps the team win.

Can't defend his inability to play late in these seasons.Once is a coincidence, twice is a habit, three times its a problem.
4 Times its an epidemic.

They’ll beat Dallas and Colorado and suck you back in. Then they will lose to the Hurricanes.

Yeah, you’re right. There’s no reason to think they should do anything except play bad enough to get a good pick.

3rd Period Collapse.Looked like a team that had zero clue against a struggling Devils Team that took it to them late.
Jarry has allowed 11 Goals in the last 2 games and been saved by about 9 posts. He wasn't good at all.Dont want to lay it all on him but cmon.
Malkin should be ashamed of that performance tonight. He had no interest in offering anything regarding a competitive desire.
The Defense had so many breakdowns both physical and mental.Top 4 guys were all terrible.Cant clear the front or handle coverage.
The Coach has no answers for his failed PP,fading PK,mentally soft group or system that continues to show its not good enough to succeed.

With the next 3 Games against Dallas,Colorado and Carolina its going to be uglier than an Idaho Winter.
This loss to a Devils Team that was struggling and clearly were there to get beat just adds to the disappointment of this dud of a season. The East has so many mediocre teams on the fringe of the Playoffs but due to the decision making from the Front Office, poor Coaching and underachieving player performance the Pens can't even get past them.

Have to wonder if KD will sit down with Geno and see what his intentions are. Does he want to stay here or move on? Cause his play and effort for most of the season leaves a lot to be desired.

Agreed. Goaltending seems to be the least of this team's problems. With that said, I would entertain a Jarry trade in the off season if nets some good young assets.

I just really can’t fathom how Sullivan and staff are still employed by this organization. If for no other reason (and there are plenty) but to give the team a fresh start.

They have never played well in Jersey even they had a team that had a chance to get into the playoffs, and maybe win a round or four.

Another flat start. We’ve all been watching hockey a long time. A flat start consistently always falls at the coaches feet.

Not here apparently.

:) - read the second half of that sentence. Is Jarry really wilting? Or does the team in front of him suck so badly at both offense and defense, that he simply can't keep them afloat alone? I think it's option #2. This team, for some unknown reason, simply cannot get results at either end of the ice.

I guess that is the question. I'm not oblivious to the fact the team in front of him is playing horribly, but I'm also not oblivious to the fact that Jarry continues to have poor 2nd halves of seasons. Even if you get rid of the elevated GAA and SV%, there are still quite a few times where...yeah, a player made a really good play, a really good shot that beat him. But he's allowed to make big saves now and again. He either stands on his head stopping almost everything, or he tends to give up big momentum goals instead of providing big momentum saves.
