A lousy Period for the first 15 minutes.Outclassed for much of it.
Dallas knew exactly how to go after the Pens, jumped on turnovers and went right back with speed and purpose.
Malkin having a decent game,he gave Rakell a beauty of a pass and has been more involved.
Jarry gave up a lot of rebounds but his PK unit didnt help him.
The PP will continue to do what it does.We get it.That is what is going down for the duration as it has for 68 previous games.

I mean, he's been bad but so has EK. I'm not ready to throw Graves out until Dear Leader is gone. EK having basically his worst season ever after his best ever? One common theme among all these endless players that are just fine before they come here and are suddenly ****. No way they're all garbage the moment they come here. Graves wasn't terrible from what I've read and his numbers until he came here. I'd bet money that Graves would do just fine if they moved him.

Yep. Same with Washington fans.
End of a glorious run.
Try to appreciate what we all had.

The Caps are winning and very much in the hunt, unlike the Pens. It’s sad that they fire the coach, bring up skilled young guys and have a competent GM. They’re far ahead of the Pens right now

What? The Caps will make the playoffs, are playing their young guys and have a new coach. The complete opposite of the Pens

Graves was mediocre until Ruff got everyone in NJ looking great last year. He’s not as bad as he has probably looked all year but he’s also not worth his contract at all.

Fair Point. There cannot be any measure of the negative impact the Sully System has had on these guys.

Stivany making contact and trying to move guys in front of the net on the PK? I guess he hates playing in the NHL because under Sullivan that’s a no-no.

All on Dubas giving out that amount of money to him after 2 Teams were willing to let him go.

Jarry with a weak Goal allowed to finish this one.

Is it 3 times in the past 5 Games Jarry has been given the hook?

I don’t understand pulling Jarry. It’s not lopsided and late in the game. But I’m not as smart as Sullivan.

The capitals didn’t make the playoffs last year, similar to the penguins. They most likely are not making it this year either. And their fans are watching their legend try and beat Gretzky record. They may be a bit ahead of us in their next chapter but not by much.

This game is not all on Jarry. The piss poor effort, mistakes, lack of defensive awareness, failed PP and a pathetic 14 shots through nearly 47 minutes shows how much water the SS Sullivan is taking on

Bunting impacted by playing with Rakell and Malkin, and not in a good way.

Malkin with strong work to get Rakell the tip in.
Best effort from Geno in a while.

It’s so frustrating that Sullivan can’t get these players to play even close to their best on a consistent basis. This team is only this bad because the coach is **** garbage.

30th PP in the NHL with only 34 Goals. How many close games where it didnt capitalize.
5 blown 3rd Period Leads.
A minimum of 10 Points in the standings.
Coaching Staff has the stamp on it.

Bunting digs pucks out of corners, goes to the net, plays with intensity.Just an effective solid player.
