Never got Sid on the ice in OT.
Stubborn Coaching again has a negative result.

Like, wait, did we just have one group of 3 out there the entire time? While the Leafs got multiple line changes? What poor management.

One point is great but it would be nice if 3v3 OT could be at least a little competitive. That was putrid as usual.

Where was Eller going to cheat up so high without possession?
Sullivan really outsmarting everyone by not getting Sid on the ice for overtime again. He knows that's just what everyone would expect him to do so he is playing next level chess by sitting his best player. Genius.

Sully is absolutely clueless with 3 on 3 and with the power play.Zalapski33 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 9:43 pm Never got Sid on the ice in OT.

Dubas needs to tell Sullivan. Crosby starts 100% of every OT game. I mean I like Eller, but what are we trying to do in OT? Just defend? That doesn’t work in OT.

Whoever is planning PP and OT needs fired. I don’t care who it is but they need to be gone. We would be comfortably in 3rd if those two parts of the game weren’t pathetic.

Imagine if they had a semi- competent PP and a clue how to play 3 on 3. Nevermind. That would require new coaches.

To leave your 2 best players on the bench to start OT and to then never get a chance to see them hit the ice in OT is coaching malpractice to the highest order. What a joke.

Not fatal, but let Sid lose the game. Not your third line center.

Well, OK, they got a point on the road against a decent team. Need to get 2 against Detroit.

Re: Official GDT: Pens @ Leafs 4/8/24
This may not be the time for it, but can someone again remind me what makes Sullivan a great coach?
Line management?
Power play?
3 on 3 in OT?
Where does he shine when decisions have to be made?
