To be fair, this was another game where 2.5 weeks ago, this team loses in regulation. They bent against Tampa Bay and they bent against DET tonight but they didn't break.

It's still a really really dumb team but atleast they are finding ways to win instead of finding new innovative ways to lose.

I'm just not sure what people are expecting Sully to come out and say... "I suck as an NHL coach. I... I don't know how to fix this team, quite frankly. I lay awake at night thinking how... HOW can i make this team better RIGHT NOW!!?? But the answers evade me!" My bottom 6 SUCK... but I had a heavy hand in building that part of the roster..."

This roster is not changing the rest of the way. It's just not. There is one man who has any say over how it's going to look next October, and that's Kyle Dubas, for better or worse. And he also is in charge of who is wearing the tie behind the bench at that point, too. So there is no point, in my humble opinion, of wondering why Sully did this or didn't do that. GMKD and to a lesser extent HCMS are the forward looking faces of management, but the guy who is going to be pulling triggers is going to KD, all day long and twice on Sundays.
