Yea that's how I feel. I liked MW 1 for about 3-6 months after I got it then around then all it became was people who glitched and cheated online and took all of the fun out of it.jaysmiter wrote:I'm not sure I quite understand the big deal about MW2...then again, I don't quite understand the big deal about any FPS to begin with...
Infinity Ward did COD 2 and you didn't hear too much about that. Just all the hype of the Modern Warfare games killed it for me.

Re: Current video game being played
beerman,
I finally started Lego Batman. Awesome game.
I beat the Riddlers 5 boards and almost am done with the Penguins boards.
It is a little different than Lego Star Wars, but at the same time, it's the same. I think it is a little harder to find certain things in Lego Batman, but I think the boards are a little easier.
Still a great game though. Can't wait to progress further.
I'm taking a different approach to this game, and I think you have to if you want to complete 100%. In Star Wars, I beat each episode 100% before I moved to the next one. In Batman, it seems like you have to beat all the story modes to get certain players and then go back and try to complete them 100%.
I'm excited though. Once I beat this one, I may get the Indiana Jones game.

Yeah, like you said it's tough to describe it because it's a lot of similarity but yet pretty different at the same time.newarenanow wrote:beerman,

I don't think you can really go and beat each board 100% then move on, I tried but knew it wasn't gonna happen. I just went through and beat all the boards and to unlock the characters then started going back through to find all the extra pieces. I haven't played it for a while, I think I'm about 98% the last few things I just have no clue where to find them, I think I spent about an hour and a half going through one level trying to get the last canister. I even turned on all the detectors and it's literally just flashing in the middle of the wall

Great game nonetheless, let me know if you get stuck anywhere. I'm thinking about getting Indy, but might wait to see if they release 1 and 2 in a combo pack sometime. I think the Harry Potter one will be pretty sweet once it comes out.

Yeah, I'm also definitely going to get Harry Potter too.
I'll wait until I find it used at the exchange though.
I should probably wait too to see if Indy comes out in a combo back like Star Wars did.

Is the game play horrible, or is it just an inforior game overall? Also, like beerman said, should I wait untill it comes out in a combo pack.
I tell you what though, these games aren't super hard since you can die like a million times and not have to start over, but they are fun as hell, and finding all the hidden things makes it fun and challenging.
And the story lines are great.

I just preferred Batman over Indiana Jones. (I actually quit playing IJ about halfway through and have never been able to convince myself to go back to it.newarenanow wrote:Crap.wallflower wrote:IMO, Lego Batman >>>>> Lego Indiana Jones.newarenanow wrote:I finally started Lego Batman. Awesome game.

They're definitely fun, easy games though. (Well, aside from the part in IJ that made me quit - I really need to get my brother to do that stage for me, maybe then I'll finish...

Assassins Creed II is going to be awesome.. I played about an hour and a half last night and it has soooo much potential. They really did an awesome job of tying the story from I into II so far, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Definitely let me know how it is...if it gets completely repetitive like the last one, I have no interest, but if they changed that, I would definitely be game.Juice wrote:Assassins Creed II is going to be awesome.. Re: Current video game being played
The developers made a point to try to get rid of that this time around because it was the main complaint with the last one...so the missions are different and there are now playable side missions. My other beef with the last one is that there's really nothing to do outside of the story line so I'm glad they made that change.shafnutz05 wrote:Definitely let me know how it is...if it gets completely repetitive like the last one, I have no interest, but if they changed that, I would definitely be game.Juice wrote:Assassins Creed II is going to be awesome.. Lego Batman is awesome. Note that to get 100%, you must revisit stages later on once you have certain characters unlocked. Also, there is one thing on the final stage that requires co-op to achieve.
Lego Indy is fun, but not in the realm of Batman, IMO. They also just released Indy 2 fwiw... I am not planning on getting it yet... will probably pick it up later when the price drops.

Yeah, I was playing it again last night. I finished up the Penguins stage and beat the first Joker stage. The one with the Mad Hatter, that was pretty fun.the wicked child wrote:Lego Batman is awesome. Note that to get 100%, you must revisit stages later on once you have certain characters unlocked. When I beat Lego Star Wars 100%, I was able to pretty much beat a whole Episode, and then go back through and beat that episode again in free play and get what I needed.
You are correct with Batman though, I'll have to go through the entire game and then go back. At least that is my plan.
This game is fun though. And I really enjoyed Lego Star Wars: the Complete Saga.
I'm going to get Harry Potter when it comes out. I may wait to find it used though. I'm still up in the air with Indiana Jones though.

I've gotten much better in NHL 10. My puck handling skills are phenomenal, I must say.

Re: Current video game being played
It took me a while to adjust to the new controls in the BAP goalie mode. Before you could go cross-crease and be attempting a save simultaneously; now you have to be butterflying to do both. Few other quirks and stuff too, but yeah I've also gotten better and after you adjust to the controls it's easier to appreciate the changes they made to it.JarkkoVision wrote:I've gotten much better in NHL 10. Re: Current video game being played
You know I would like to make a little change to this... They didn't really do much in terms of tying stories I and II together, they are 300 years apart with no real reason as to why the big gap, but I'm saying they have tied the whole story together very well so far.Juice wrote:Assassins Creed II is going to be awesome.. Re: Current video game being played
My wife is so into the story line and the beauty of this game that she wont let me play it unless she is around to watch. She doesnt want to miss any of the story. I do love my wife! She stayed up all night with me on Monday and sat around all Tuesday while I played the game. She also helps. She is good with puzzles and there are a lot in this game. She can also spot a glyph from a mile away. I'd say I would be about 2 hours behind where I am now if it were not for her.Samsdog wrote:AHHHH I'm holding out till Christmas so I don't have to pay for it but I want it NOWWWPensFanInDC wrote:I spent 11 of the past 24 hours playing Assassin's Creed II
