Mind Blast is very important when you are surrounded. Also the healing spells of course, those are definitely the most important. I would roll 2 mages at all times and they would have both the heal and the group heal spell. Regenerate though seemed useless to me. The Cone of Cold spell is very nice for stunning also. If you do the first level cold spell + that fist spell you have a chance to 1 hit kill them.Letang Is The Truth wrote:just got dragon age in the mail. went with mage. any spells i need to learn fo sho?

What do you mean trying to finish everything? Missions/Story Line or extra stuff like assassination contracts/feathers/races etc?AlexPKeaton wrote:ACII is pretty good but I get stuck trying to finish everything which sometimes gets boring.
Cone of cold is huge. Whenever you can freeze a boss and take out the minions that's a great help. There's another pinkish circles shield (force field?) doing that for a longer time altough you can't injure the one you freeze, but it's a great, great spell. Death's imprisioning (called something like that) is huge too, pinning an enemy while they take damage.AlexPKeaton wrote:Mind Blast is very important when you are surrounded. hahahaha that's the only thing I do in the co-op/vs. mode. I found the game itself boring (gathering coins, etc), so I just run as fast as I can and try to make the other people fall off the mapFast B wrote:I just picked up New Super Mario Bros. the other day, and it's pretty sweet so far. Not terribly challenging so far (except for some of the bonus coins), but the co-op mode is hilarious. I've been playing with my girlfriend and it's a contest to see who can kill the other more.
Yeah the Assassination contracts are what is bogging me down. I don't bother with the feathers. The hidden symbols on the walls are cool because there is some kind of story there.PensFanInDC wrote:What do you mean trying to finish everything? Are you using a non-usb mic? If so, the problem you are experience is the crappiness of Creative Labs Sound Blaster.EricMateya wrote:I would figure I should post this question in here, as it is video game related. Anyone use a mic for their online game experience?
I ask because sometimes, either randomly or once I start my computer up, my mic gets real choppy. If anyone uses steam, you can test your mic in the settings section and when I do it just sounds extremely choppy and I can barely make out what I say (that sounds funny). Anyone else experience this and/or know how to fix it?
I want the last 2 achievements so I need to get the feathers for both of them.AlexPKeaton wrote:Yeah the Assassination contracts are what is bogging me down. I don't bother with the feathers. The hidden symbols on the walls are cool because there is some kind of story there.
Single player is completely different than multiplayer. My suggesting is to just jump in with the expectation that you are going to have a very bad k:d ratio for a while.JarkkoVision wrote:I've been playing NHL 10 and Modern Warfare 2. I've played multiplayer with friends, just not online. Some of the special ops missions are ridiculous. I would think that if I'm good on those I shouldn't be terrible when I jump online.AlexPKeaton wrote:Single player is completely different than multiplayer. Was it one of the ones in the first half, or the second half? I have only gotten through the first half of them.PensFanInDC wrote:I want the last 2 achievements so I need to get the feathers for both of them.AlexPKeaton wrote:Yeah the Assassination contracts are what is bogging me down. The hidden symbols are cool. I needed to look online for the solution to one of them. No way I would have figured that out on my own.
3rd to last I think. It had to do with Sumerian numerals. It was so effing hard!Juice wrote:Was it one of the ones in the first half, or the second half? Let me know how you like it. I didn't like the PS2 GTAs, but I loved Chinatown Wars for the DS. The GPS makes a world of difference.Shyster wrote:Finished up Suikoden Tierkreis (good game!) on my DS and switched to Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
Yeah the actually mode isn't hard at all. I worst part was getting all those big coins. The multi player is the fun part.Fast B wrote:I just picked up New Super Mario Bros. the other day, and it's pretty sweet so far.
