This game reinforced the old message that you NEVER miss the start of a game. Starting lineups announced for Binghamton... Yablonski is starting. 5 minutes later, the starting RW for the Pens is announced as... you guessed it, Aaron Boogaard. Boogy loses his balance after a swing or two and they head to the box.
Then, something I've never seen (in PRO hockey). The ref squares to drop the puck and Bingo's LW (Spencer) pulls back and drops the glove. Problem is, the ref didn't actually drop the puck. Spencer looks at the ref, raises his hands and says WTF? Refs confer and i guess just decided to screw it and drop the puck. Spencer didn't even bother picking up his stick to wait for the puck to drop this time. Very spirited fight with Boulerice.
That was it for the first period. If you missed the first four seconds, you would be bored to tears. Same could be said for most of the second. With around 30 seconds left in the second, Deryk Engelland fires a bomb from the blueline that looked like it deflected in, but he was given credit. Maybe it hit a Bingo player? His first of the year. Bingo had a goal waved off by a high stick. Later, they did get a goal in a scrum near the net. Similar action led to a crash-the-net goal for WBS' Vitale 3 minutes later.
Chiodo is pulled, I put my coat on expecting to run out at the horn and Bingo scores with the extra attacker. The 'fan' behind me who talked about the games lack of 'fast breaks' and how Curry should go to Europe because it's pointless to stay in WBS with MAF in Pitt then decides to blame me for putting my coat on and that it was my fault for that goal going in.

After a WBS icing call to start the OT, Jeffrey wins a faceoff in his zone. Lee chips it up to the neutral zone, Jeffrey wins the race to the puck, and makes a nifty backhand move to bury it behind Chiodo. Game, set, match.
Pics will follow.
Other notes: Johnson is rougher than he was last year. I like it. Engelland/Lovejoy may be the best D pairing in the 'A'... They don't belong there. Caputi and Jeffrey each missed breakaways. Caputi fired it right into the logo on Chiodo's chest and DJ missed the net. Jeffrey had an outstanding game. Tangradi threw his weight around. Good games for Wallace and Letestu also.
