Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing Blockbuster, Movie Gallery, and all those other flaming ripoffs go down in flames.

That magical Red Box outside of grocery stores is OK.

Yeah, damn that company that started in 1985 for ripping off the Red Box.

I've never used Red Box, I'm a netflix guy. And with instant watch becoming a bigger selling point for them, many new (great) movies are being added weekly.

Does Red Box have blu-ray?

Wait a second, just to clarify...I think Blockbuster and Movie Gallery that charge like 3 or 4 dollars a night for a "new release" to be ripoffs. I am a Netflix junkie now, previously Redbox. I like them...just to clarify.

I still remember the day my family switched from Beta to VHS, went to rent a movie, and they had 3 on beta, in fact I think I still have my first ever VCR, and the first movie my family ever rented was Raiders of the Lost Ark. Weird. Regardless of picture quality I kinda miss VHS, at least when you rented a movie, you didnt get 3/4 of the way through only to have the disc be scratched and you dont see the ending.

I think your pricing is off. It's 4 dollars for a new release at Blockbuster, but that's for two nights without late fees. BB is good if you don't plan on watching the movie the night you rent it. And there is something to be said about looking through the library with physical DVDs, especially if you don't know exactly what to rent.

VHS of the show....I believe it had four episodes. For years I dreamed about a movie adaptation of Zelda, something along the lines of the Neverending Story, but it never happened

In hindsight, maybe it was best left to the imagination

For some reason, memento really disturbed me. I don't know how much you know about the plot and main character, so I won't say anything else.

I found his condition really, really scary. I can't even imagine what kind of torture that would be. Especially if you had a wife or something like that. Not being able to remember anything longer than a minute or two? What a horrible way to live.
