Re: Movie
2012 - maybe the worst movie I've ever seen. How many other movies did this one rip off? Armageddon, War of the Worlds, Day After Tomorrow, Poisedon... probably more. Such a bad movie. pissed off at myself for sitting through it.
The Crazies: disappointing. Was hoping it would be more like 28 Days Later, and not like Halloween II. Only cool part was the big bang at the end.
and I FINALLY just saw The Hangover... it was good. It's no Old School though.

Re: Movie
My plans fell through tonight so I'm sitting home alone and I'm feeling really bored.
Soooooo.... I'm watching twilight on cable. Ugh. I hate myself. Drinking beer watching the stupidest movie I've ever seen. Maybe if I have more beer, I can appreciate it as comedy?
Edit-hahaha. This charcoal is hilarious!

If I had planned on watching twilight on cable, wouldn't I have watched it weeks ago when it premiered? But honestly, no regrets. I laughed for about an hour straight.

Maybe you were waiting for the right day? Lol. We've all watched embarrassing things when nothing else is on.

I got drunk and watched Twilight with a couple Twihards and I got to tell you, watching somebody's favorite movie while drinking and constantly making fun of it is a lot of fun.Froggy wrote:If I had planned on watching twilight on cable, wouldn't I have watched it weeks ago when it premiered? Re: Movie
I'm a big TCM guy, I go through every few weeks, look at what's coming up and throw things that look interesting on DVR. Especially 40s-50s film noir and anything with Edward G Robinson.
This weekend I have watched three good ones:
Five Star Final (1931) with Edward G Robinson and Bela Lugosi as sensationalist newspapermen. It could easily be remade today.
I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932) with Paul Muni (the original Scarface) as -Surprise- a fugitive from a chain gang.
The Snake Pit (1948) with Olivia DeHavilland as a patient in a mental ward. Film was intended to be an indictment of treatment of the mentally ill in that era.

This is true. I remember a similar event with me and some people who were very into Final Destination.nocera wrote:I got drunk and watched Twilight with a couple Twihards and I got to tell you, watching somebody's favorite movie while drinking and constantly making fun of it is a lot of fun.Froggy wrote:If I had planned on watching twilight on cable, wouldn't I have watched it weeks ago when it premiered? Final destination 2 is awesome for what it is. Great deaths in that one. The rest of the series is pretty bad, though.

No. I walked out of Final Destination 2. The only good one was the original.Froggy wrote:Final destination 2 is awesome for what it is. Great deaths in that one. The rest of the series is pretty bad, though.

Ok, so I know I'm about as behind on the tv tech adoption as one can be, but sheesh, when did Sci-Fi Network turn into a hard-core horror flic outlet? I mean, Saw, Hostel and Hostel 2 in the same weekend? Nuts.
Hostel was chilling the first time around. Second time, not so much. The cartoonishness comes out more.

Re: Movie
Just watched "2012"
I really enjoyed this movie, the scenes, destruction, etc. Really cool to see cities being destroyed. But some of the plot and the main actors almost getting killed 400 times was a little far fetched. Still good and kept my attention.

The Strangers...am I the only one who enjoyed the crazy of this movie?
Watched Wet Hot American Summer again last night, the food scene is just awesome.
I actually have The Hurt Locker on my queue next.

A movie where characters out run an earthquake is "a little far fetched?" Get right out of town.PenguinSteve-o wrote:Just watched "2012"
