my old high school/ employer (coached under him for a season) played for Arsenal ... Malcom Cookie... known around Eastern Region as "Cookie" played sweeper for them a loooooooong time ago!
Should be a good match. If Arsenal can beat Real Madrid, I'm sure they can beat a side who just scraped past Werder Bremen on away goals.
I think Lyon could surprise AC Milan, they've been in good form in the French League and always pose a challenge. They demolished a quality PSV side the other night and AC Milan have slipped up in the past two seasons to teams you would expect them to comfortably beat.
Inter and Barca will probably be the other two semi-finalists.

I think Wenger has dealt, is dealing with, Arsenal's rebuilding far better than say Ferguson at Man U. Ok, so Arsenal's form is patchy right now, but the young guys who are getting thrown in on a regular basis will be all the better for it in the future. Plus Wenger's no mug, in fact I think he's far more asute than any manager in the Premiership. Keeping Henry is obviously the key, but I think they'll be ok.Admin wrote:I'm a big Arsenal fan but not much to brag about this season other than them doing well in the Champions League. Having said all that I can't see them getting a result against Juve.

Yes!BritishPenguin wrote:Do you guys get the European leagues on Pay Per View over there as well? (ie. England, Italy, Spain, France etc.)
We get Fox Soccer Channel (it's $5 extra a month) which shows about 6 or so English league games each weekend plus some French, German, Italian, and Argentinian games. It's tremendous!
Tomorrow's Arsenal match is a pay-per-view match but it'll be on Fox Soccer later in the week for free.
We also get GolTV which shows La Liga, Serie A, UEFA Cup, etc games.
A great site which shows what's on TV in America and Canada is http://www.soccertv.com/.

It's the "New York Red Bulls"... a wholly owned subsidiary of "Red Bull New York"... which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Bull International...fourtKNOX wrote:maybe they could get a couple studs off of red bull washington... is that their new name...
