man i almost took nolasco over hanson when jimenez was also available. instead i grabbed romero off waivers later and i'm getting about what i expected out of nolasco out of him. including the CG today.

i still can't believe mcgehee is going to keep it up.

Too alarming now to talk about
Take your pictures down and shake it out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He’s ordinary

It's official, Strasburg will pitch next Tuesday against the Pirates. Game is already sold out.

that's why I hope it happens against the Pirates. I like Strasburg and want to see him do well but I just think it'd be pretty funny if the Bucs knock him around in his debut. He's slipped a bit the past 2 starts against AAA offenses so maybe there's hope.

i nearly have a deal in place to get greinke for him basically. you have to do it, but it's scary. i can easily see strasburg put up 100ip, 90ks and a 1.20 whip the rest of the way.

Yeah, that's a good deal for you. I like Strasburg, but Greinke is a proven stud.

I have a weird/sick feeling that if Strasburg doesn't pitch a perfect game, I'll be disappointed.

Can't blame Washington for starting him out against the Buccos. Should be an easy W for the Nats (though I hope that I am wrong).

Troy Glaus is cleaning up since late April or so...another 3 run homer just now before the rain delay. Lets not postpone this game, its only in the 1st.

Tim Hudson is now batting .300. Baller.

After missing the strike zone with a pitch against Washington's Josh Willingham, Oswalt looked toward the first base line and yelled something. Hohn took off his mask and yelled at Oswalt, who responded, "I ain't talking to you!" Hohn then ejected Oswalt.
I saw this on the highlights last night, its great that an official is finally going to get reprimanded(however slightly) for forgetting that people aren't there to see them. I'm sick of the abuse of power in all sports, especially baseball and basketball...and in a slightly different way in hockey. These ******** need to start getting suspended or fired, they aren't going to be missed.

I agree completely. Some umps are just awful. You know that players are going to complain some, but when the ump takes his mask off and just starts yelling at a guy it's ridiculous. Happens way too much.

Jason Heyward does whatever the hell he wants. He just got picked off first base and beat the throw to second.

Oh my gay. Ruiz for the Rays is trying to call time before the pitch even starts making his windup and steps out because there is no reason that he wouldn't get time. The umpire lets the pitcher throw the pitch while he's stepped back. Ruiz should have been paying attention, but another example of an umpire obsessing over his power in the game, what a tool. Fortunately the Rays managed to rally and win anyway despite the Ump giving away that strikeout.

Also watch highlights tonight to see the odd double play the braves just turned.

LMFAO Jays take a 5-0 lead into the 7th, and a 5-3 lead into the 9th. Their closer walks 4 batters and then gives up a bases clearing triple. Jays end up losing 7-6.

Lulz single to right and it just goes under Werth's glove. Hinske takes third then gets sacrificed in by Prado on the next at bat.
