Cody Rhodes plays this whole "dashing" gimmick well.

Last Monday's RAW was one of the best episodes of RAW in a long, long time. I'm really looking forward to next Monday.

Brady Boone is pretty terrible, but is he as bad as Jumpin' Jeff Farmer?SolidSnake wrote:
Posted this earlier in the thread, but I'll relist it just so it's easier to compare the two.

Tommy Dreamer can still give a ridiculously heartfelt promo. Unreal. Basically, the idea behind this "invasion" is it's not an invasion at all but a chance for Dreamer and co. to right the wrong of the WWECW. I'm not sure what exactly it's going to be, but it's being made out to be a One Night Stand type event. Could be fun.
Still, other than Dreamer's promo, Impact was a mess.

Seriously. I'm so tired of them always trying to resurrect it. The first One Night Stand was good, I'll say that, and I think that should've been the last we ever heard of ECW.SolidSnake wrote:I wish they would just like ECW die already.nocera wrote:Tommy Dreamer can still give a ridiculously heartfelt promo. I agree. Dreamer can get you to totally buy into it with his emotion, but when it comes down to it, who really wants to see a bunch of 40-year-old out of shape guys doing hardcore wrestling? I have to say, though, if it is only a one time thing designed for the originals to get a proper send off post WWECW, I'd tune in. The first One Night Stand was ridiculously fun.

I don't think he was the first to do anything. He would often use objects that fans brought, such as cheese graters and toilet seats. I'm not really sure if he was the first to do that, though. It was just a gimmick. After finally ditching the suspenders and golden boy nonsense, he became hardcore.SolidSnake wrote:Haha yea I never could stand Tommy Dreamer how did he become the "innovator of violence"? was he the first ever guy to use a chair?

Gotta love when he and Raven had a rivalry to the point where they almost brought guns to kill each other now they are best buddies lolnocera wrote:I don't think he was the first to do anything. The Raven/Dreamer matches were amazing. Raven looks completely disgusting now. It's a shame the dude couldn't stay sober for more than a week. He could've been huge. Now, he is just literally huge.

I just saw that there will be a "Hardcore Justice" PPV on August 8th. I'll order it. And by order it, I mean I'll watch an illegal feed online.

This week's Smackdown was probably the best pure wrestling show of the year. The 2 out of 3 falls match was totally old school. There were only 4 matches but 3 of the 4 were given a ton of time and allowed the wrestlers to actually tell a story in the ring. When was the last time RAW had a 20 minute long main event match? Great stuff. Actually, RAW was pretty great last week, too. I take that back. WWE has been showing why they're the major league and TNA is triple-A.
Kane is a very uninteresting heavyweight champion, though.

I really don't see where they're going with Rey Mysterio being the #1 contender. What do they do with Swagger for the next month?

I went back and watched the first One Night Stand. It's still really fun, in spite of the lame RAW/Smackdown "invasion" story line. Watching Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero was weird though.

The first ONS was awesome. They should have just ended it there, but they didn't. After that... all downhill and fast.nocera wrote:I went back and watched the first One Night Stand.
