After the season, each playoff team can keep one of their rookies that has lost rookie eligibility (i.e. Tavares) and non-playoff teams can keep two. Rookies that are still rookies can be kept indefinitely on each teams roster.
Keepers:
After the first year: 6
Second Year: 8
Third Year and on: 10
Is keeping rookies who lost eligiblity included in the 6, I assume? Or can you keep 6 plus, the 1 or 2 rookies who lost eligibility?
6 + 1 or 2
i.e., not included in the 6.

I still want him. I can upgrade several of your keeper slots. We will have to talk.

Rookies 2 right?

Oscar Moller(r) - 34 games
Scott Glennie - 0 games
You get to keep those rookies (Moller, Glennie) automatically. So you get to keep two guys that are now 65+ and as many rookies as you have (could be all 4 presumably) that are still <65.

Edit: Ericsson was a rookie for you too, I think. He does not count as a keeper. You get to keep six non-rookie players. Then you get to keep 2 rookies who are now ineligible as rookies (65+ games). The other rookies remain eligible so to speak and it is not necessary that you "keep" them.

6 keepers:
  • D. Sedin
  • M. Brodeur
  • J. Toews
  • A. Markov
  • M. Turco
  • M. Ribero

    Rookie Keeper:
  • Goligoski
I think I did this right. He was drafted as a rookie but lost eligibility during the season

Ericsson played more than 65 his rookie year? I thought that made him a keeper?

You get to keep 6 players off of your roster before you even look at your rookies.

Then you look at your rookies.
Guys still <65 automatically remain on your 4-player prospect/rookie list, as they are still eligible as rookies.
Guys who now have more than 65 GP can be kept at your election in addition to your other keepers. If you made the playoffs you can keep one such player, if you missed you can keep two such players.

Looks like the league page is down. As a result, we'll have to do a little honor system here. Not many keeper eligible players were added and dropped, however. I know I dropped Mason and Krafster picked him up, but I think the Google Doc is sufficient for the time being.
This is not true -- I was in last night. You have to log into the Yahoo league, click on Fantasy Profile. under there, your teams will be listed. You can click on the league and see the final rosters.

EDIT: Question on rookie status: Brandon Sutter started the season with 50 games played (under 65). But he was an add/drop. Can I keep him as my 1 over 65 rookie? He played 72 games last year.

No. We had this issue come up with Tyler Meyers. It was explicitly stated ahead of the season that only drafted players can count towards rookie eligibility.

I am deciding between the following 7: I have 3 goalies (Since I'll keep Howard). I'd love compensation to toward this number to 6.

Crosby
Alredsson
St. Louis
B. Richards
Gaborik
Lundqvist
Anderson

R-Howard

Yeah, I'm glad we said it ahead of the season, because the Tyler Myers situation is tough.

Gotcha -- and that is fine. I have another eligible drafted player (Evander Kane).

I just realized I also have Ville Leino who is a drafted rookie, losing rookie status and can be kept in a rookie keeper spot. I would be willing to trade him the highest bidder. I will be trading him for something; he has to be better than some of the rookie keepers out there especially those looking to take a run this season.

Cough-Evander Kane

Okay, my keepers (I actually had this list pretty well set since the end of the season):

1. Steven Stamkos
2. Jarome Iginla
3. Bobby Ryan
4. Alex Burrows
5. Chris Pronger
6. Marc Andre Fleury

Over 65 Rookie keeper: Evander Kane (66 Games!)

Untouched drafted rookies:
Eric Tangradi
Zack Kassian
Brayden Shenn

We should prolly get drafting as early as possible, I think we are gonna have some issues keeping track of the actual available players!
