No offense to the new people, but let's go with what we know.
I feel obliged to invite Troy Loney; he has been very involved in other fantasy leagues, it feels right to reciprocate. Therefore, I'm going to invite him. You can pick Kovy or EPF's team. Ask someone else for the rules.

Krafster, as vice-president/genius of the league, you're in charge of determining how we pick the last team. :thumb:

Again, rookies tonight, draft tomorrow! :thumb: :thumb:

Can someone post my roster and rookies. Also, can I get some rules up in here?

Varlamov, Tavares and Pacioretti are losing their rookie eligibilty. Since pfidc missed the playoffs you can keep 2 of those 3 in addition to your regular 6 keepers. Caputi can be kept because he is still a rookie.

I'll have to find the rules...
You pretty much covered it with that, Beerman. 12-Team H2H. G, A, P, PPP, PIM, +/- || W, Sv%, GAA, SO
3C, 3RW, 3LW, 2W, 1F, 6D, 2G, 6 Bench, 2 IR. Daily starts.

Keep 6 (exclusive of rookies) this year, 8 next year, then stop at 10 in year 3.

ok, I thought that kind of covered it but I wasn't sure if we had a rules doc or anything like we did with baseball.

Also here's how we defined rookies from the original thread last yr: As far as rookies go, I think we'll have a supplemental rookie draft. This stops people from stock piling in the general draft. However, each team is allowed to select two prospects in the general draft (Hockey Futures Def: Under 26 less than 65 GP, <10 starts for a goalie). Each team can have 4 rookies, so you'll have up to 4 picks in the rookie draft, and as few as 2. Rookies can be called up and sent down via the Waiver Wire freely during the season. In other words, you cannot pick up someone else's rookies. After the season, each playoff team can keep one of their rookies that has lost rookie eligibility (i.e. Tavares) and non-playoff teams can keep two. Rookies that are still rookies can be kept indefinitely on each teams roster. If you draft a rookie in the regular draft please indicate that you are doing so. Also, the rookie draft will go in reverse order of the general draft.

Rules aren't anything special with the exception of rookies.

Rookies(prospects) work like this.

If you draft a guy that has played less than 65 games or 10 starts, and is under 26 (Same as HF criteria), he can come up and down on the WW as often as possible, and other teams cannot pick him up. You can keep 1 or 2 of these "rookies" that lose their eligibility every year depending on whether you make the playoffs.

Rookies that have not lost their eligibility are kept for free, and continue the same next year (just like as if you drafted them).

Rookies that increased their GP above 65, lose their status, and need to be kept, and are not protected on the WW.

You can pick up to 2 rookies in the main draft. There is a supplemental rookie draft following the main draft where you can pick up to your allotment.

Yea, if we can get Troy Loney in here, that'd be awesome. He's got my vote....even if he is going to buy the league at some point...

Lol, that's an interesting title.

Well, first let me also say that I'd like to get Troy in here. I don't see any reason why we should seek to be fair and equitable if we all want someone we know and who has a track record of involvement. I think its clear most people like Troy for one of the teams, so, I'd say let Troy pick a team and then we random.org for the other spot.

Did someone get the teams to Troy?

YEs, that's right. During the regular draft you can take two rookies, though. The supp draft will be 4 rounds, if you have taken one or two rookies in the regular draft, you are just skipped in the supplemental.
