Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
pitts, that was fine taking that pick for me....but i'm back now and i can make the rest of my picks.
corvi i saw your offer just now...so i don't think so.
there seems to be a lot of wheeling and dealing thus far, and i just want to throw out there that i have 4 centers now if anyone is looking to bolster their team up the middle, statsny, zajac & krejci will be available.

I want to try and grab a pick in the next round for Jason Pominville or Tomas Plekanec. PM me if you're interested in either.

I believe we have a trade to announce...

The Tasty Magpies send Tomas Plekanec to PittsPuckinBunnies for the 33rd Pick in the 2010 draft and a smile.*

Tomas Plekanec, photographed here after being told that we leaving the Magpies.
*Smile not agreed upon.

Question here...
Is it 3 C, 3 LW, and 3 RW, or 3 C, 1 LW and 1 RW
I saw this...

oooo, look at mister fancy pants with his elitist terminology. Unless you're a communist, you say "that one!" and point at it or something.Letang Is The Truth wrote:the former

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
So, I'm assuming I'm allowed to draft someone who lost their rookie eligibility and was not kept by their previous owner?

Somewhat related question: if I had two rookies that lost status and made playoffs could I keep one of them with my allotment of six keepers?

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I believe you keep one along with your 6 regular keeper -- thus 7 keepers and all under 65 rookies.Letang Is The Truth wrote:Somewhat related question: if I had two rookies that lost status and made playoffs could I keep one of them with my allotment of six keepers?

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
It seems like a lot of people have an overflow of centers (as is typically most years). I would recommend lowering the number of wingers needed or make it more flexable. Sometimes it feels like centers are almost as abundant as LW and RW combined, especially since a lot of wingers end up with center eligibility.
I'd recommend, instead of 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 2W, and 1F...
3 C, 3LW, 3RW, 3F
or
3 C, 2 LW, 2 RW, 2 W, 3F
Something to consider for next year, or even this year.

I like those ideas.. I'd also be in favor of a change to that effect.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
Idk how it really changes anything people just need to be cognizant of what they are drafting. Rather than ranking 2nd or 3rd line wingers it'll come to 3rd line C. I also kinda like the way it is now cuz we have three complete lines

The first option I suggested still has 3 complete lines.Letang Is The Truth wrote:Idk how it really changes anything people just need to be cognizant of what they are drafting. And I think it's even more realistic with more F or W spots than specifically RW or LW, cause really, how many NHL teams have 3 or 4 lines of everyone in exactly their natural position?

I prefer having designated winger spots. Makes you pay more attention to what you draft. I'm not for a change.

Not for change either and definitely not for this year - its already affected my drafting strategy.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
The last half dozen picks were either no where on my list of players I intend to draft before looking deeper or no where near my 7th/8th round choices. Interesting...
