Re: WBS ADVANCES
So how much influence did the callups by TB have to do with Norfolk's collapse?

Stranglely I heard this result thanks to a NASCAR-type tweeting the result. Forget who it was, but they work for SPEED.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:Pens are down 3-1 in the series after the loss tonight.

Just blew a 3-0 lead in the third. 3-3 with 10 minutes left.

4-3 Checkers. 4 goals in 9 minutes. Pathetic.

Re: WBS ADVANCES
I told ya'll that they do this every year and choke it all away in the end... No one listened to me.
And I'm also gonna say that the Pittsburgh Penguins have and are drafting too many foreign and US defensemen/born players... Whitney should have taught them all they needed to know. He was a cream puff back there. Orpik can skate well and is fairly physical - that's it. He can't do ANYTHING else - let alone keep the puck in at the blue line. Martin is Extremely overrated as a top 4 defenceman. For some reason, they are starting to draft out of this Boston College or whatever. Ryan Malone was let go - thank goodness. He is softer than Charmin. He scored a mammoth contract and plays like the biggest chick on the ice. For 6'4"? He's more interested in what his next tattoo is going to be than playing the game and winning. Witness his 3 lazy penalties the other night for nothing. He's just lazy. In the final 4 and he plays like this... Incredible. Tangradi seems to do absolutely NOTHING when he's called up as well. Lazy as HELL. A guy with the CHANCE of playing with SIDNEY CROSBY and you're going to make efforts like the ones we witnessed this season??? But he's from PA so I can see where the hype lies... Just like Malone. Malone is a bust. He topped out at 51 points and has 5 points in the entire playoffs - Seguin has 6 points in 2 playoff games... Do the math. It shouldn't be hard to figure out.
This "Beau" Bennett went from 120 points in 09' to 25 points in 10'!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Bryan Rust? He has a pitiful 6 goals in 40 games with Notre Dame... GOOD FOR NINTH (9) in team scoring...
"Kenneth Agostino" (yea exactly, WHO?) has 25 points for YALE; (where all the smart kids go to who need a back-up plan because they know they hardly have a chance at playing hockey) good for 6th on the team!!!!
Joe Rogalski topped off with 32 Points in 63 games, also good for 6th on his team behind another whole host of no name, UNDRAFTED KIDS...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kuehnhackl from Germany, seemed to have an inspiring year with the Spitfires in the OHL with 68 Points in 63 games. So, there's a little bit of hope there, at least.............
The Pens REALLY need to get back to drafting Canadian born players. I don't want to sound too harsh but come on here. Most players who decide to "show up" when it counts are from Canada, minus Joke Thornton.
Hopefully, in the next draft, Mario and co. can rectify this horrible error in judgement ASAHP.

The Penguins are drafting too many foreign and US players? Odd, what do you expect them to draft? I am pretty sure that is all that is there, unless you think they should just skip the draft.

Re: WBS ADVANCES
Well, it's up to Shero and Mario. It's a decision they have to make between winning and losing. This isn't baseball or basketball. This is hockey. It's not a secret that the best talent, heart, skill, passion, guys on faceoffs, etc. on the whole, comes from Canada.
I provided the stats of those horrid draft picks. You can decide if they're good picks or not.
Here, I'll provide them again. Please, tell me that they'll end up being decent NHL'ers. I would love to be proven wrong...

So you are looking at guys from last years draft, who are mostly in their first year of college hockey? Nice.
