LGP Golf Thread

Post by shafnutz05 »

Tiger Woods +5 through 5 holes at The Players Championship. I was actually shocked that Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood decided not to attend. Biggest purse of any tournament in the world, and a great golf course at Sawgrass. Hmm.

Tiger withdrew from TPC.

Love him or hate him, he is fun to watch. Hopefully he is able to pull his game back together.

I can't help but be a little suspect of injuries that mysteriously crop up during a terrible round. I'm not saying he wasn't injured, but how did we not hear anything about it?

They've been talking about his knee for ages. Ever since that masters round where he choked it away.

you must not have been paying any attention to golf if you hadn't heard about it lol. He hadn't hit a golf ball in a month, trying to rest his injury. It's been lingering for a while now.

Tiger is done.

Amazing to think that 2 years ago you would have been looked at like an imbecile if you said Tiger would never beat Jack.

Tiger doing bad is good and bad for golf. In a way, new players like Rory can gain ground, but so bad for golf in the fact that it's exposure is terrible.

Tiger is going to have to radically reshape his image, if he wants people to fondly remember him like they do Seve.
Actually, he probably doesn't give a ****.

I must say I don't think I have turned golf on TV once since Tiger has started to suck.

I am a fan of the sport of golf, so Tiger contending really doesn't matter to me one way or the other. There have been plenty of entertaining and exciting tournament finishes without him.

That being said, I was naturally excited when he was making that charge on the front 9 at Augusta on Sunday.
