Have you followed the Sampras - Agassi feud? It's pretty...petty.

It carried over to a recent charity match where Sampras wouldn't even appear with Agassi...

Didn't wanna start a new thread for this but I want to start up a Jagr card collection. Any card experts know of the best/most valuable to buy?

that article is full of needless waaahhhhh
if i'm planning some sort of event, i'm thrilled if some sort of memorable incident like this happens. would it have been better for the cause if they acted like robots for 2 hours, or if something really quite harmless (but humorous) happens that gets millions of youtube hits?
but either way, yeah, they are pretty petty people.

St. Petersburg no longer interested in Jagr. According to Jagr's agent, Omsk remains the only serious bidder in the KHL:

Jagr needs to hang them up after this season.

I heard that "Unbelievable" song today. It reminded me of Jagr at the Igloo from the 90s.

A little EMF always makes me nostalgic of that time.

He'd fit in perfectly in Detroit.

Czech newspaper Denik Sport reports that it is now certain Jagr will not play in KHL next season. One of the main reasons is that their summer camp starts too early and he feels he needs to focus on managing Kladno (he bought his hometown hockey club last month and it needs a lot of work so it won't go under).
Now, he's aiming to go to NHL and is presumably choosing from Red Wings and Penguins. It seems that Red Wings are the most likely choice. Estimated salary $2.5M.
This rumor should be taken quite seriously, the journalist who wrote it has longtime personal relationship with Jagr...of all the Czech writers, he's the one who is the closest to him. He would not write this if it were utter ********.

TK can stick his head up a pig, if that $2.5 million will get us Jagr.

$2.5M is a bargain for what Jagr can bring to the table. The question is can he bring that level of play to the table consistently over a 100-game schedule through the regular season and playoffs? I'd be curious to know what he did in the KHL last year in the first half of the season relative to the second half. Was there a drop-off in productivity in the second half?
If not, then I think GMRS needs to seriously consider adding him to the squad.

GMRS doesn't need to consider doing it, he needs to be like Tiger Woods/Nike and just do it.

I can't see Jagr fitting Dan Bylsma's system. Furthermore, do we really want a lazy player like him infecting the young guys on the team?
