Still no word from #PGHPenguins if there is interest in Jagr, but no denial, either. This was all late developing over wknd. #tribpens
This is on the fringe of TIOPS-style integrity; reporting it whether he tried to gather primary source or not...
Jagr is interested in coming back to the NHL. You'd have to be VERY naive to believe the Pens wouldn't at least TALK to him to see what it would take... now they might not be willing to offer anything close to what he wants, but I'm sure they will be in communication at least once before he signs somewhere.
I have little doubt they will make a reasonably competitive offer to him. I don't think they would waste their own or his agents time if they cannot come up with an offer that would put the Pens in the top 3. Did so with Hossa, will likely do it with Jagr, but won't miss out on their other targets to 'come close'...

Come on make it so. I´d cry.

And he´s still sweet on the PP and with good company (which he´d have).

Would 68 pages be required before he signs?

If Jagr comes here, I really think he plays with Malkin not Crosby. I think there is much higher chance of success with that combo then with the proposed Staal-Malkin combo. Plus he speaks Russian, could be a good influence on Malkin, replace the role Gonchar left on this team.

Yeah this is EXACTLY what I see happening if Jagr returns. He plays like Kovalev did which was NOT well at all. Plus I don't believe Shero would waste cap $ on Jagr when he can re-sign younger guys like Dupuis, Rupp, and Kennedy for longer term deals.

What is Madden saying about Jagr?
Missed his opening, all I heard was "....Jagr story is true, this is not a drill...." something like that.
He said the Pens reached out to his agent over the weekend after Montreal/Detroit did, and Lemieux has either already or will get involved.

It would take a 20 year age gap for me to want Dupuis, Rupp, or Kennedy over Jagr. Seriously. And I am a big Dupuis guy.

Madden knows nothing EVER. This is pretty much common sense though that the Pens would contact him / Mario would be involved

Yeah. Lemieux is involved in every decision in some capacity I would imagine.
