Refresh my memory. I remember Liev Schreiber (narrator for 24/7) made for a pretty good John Clark, but that's about all I remember.

I liked reading the book from what I remember, but it's been 20 years.

Does Clancy actually write his books anymore? He's had two books out with other authors this year, neither of which were reviewed well.

Currently reading "Michael Palin Diaries - 1969 to 1979 - The Python Years". Excellent, especially if you are a Michael Palin fan. He was/is my favorite Python.

Just finished "No Better Place To Die: The Battle For La Fiere Bridge" by Robert M. Murphy.

It's about a battle for a bridge that took place in Normandy in WW2. Great read for those interested in the war.

in the past 3 days i've read "the reluctant fundamentalist" by mosin hamid and "persepolis" my marjane satrapi. the first one....i threw across the room as soon as i finished it. the second was a graphic novel and it was awesome. i have to read tim o'brien's "the things they carried" and write a three page paper on it by tuesday. having 2 summer classes at the same time........not so much of a good idea. they are both insanely full time.


oh. i also read the latest sookie stackhouse book last week. it was meh.

persepolis was fun. i just read the second one. i think i liked it better.

I made my first foray into the world of fantasy literature with Game of Thrones. I'm not sure it's for me. I'm about 100 pages in and am bored out of mind! I just think I don't "get it."

Just finished reading:

The Zombie Survival Guide and the graphic novel/comic that sort of goes with it -

Pretty entertaining if you are in the right frame of mind to read it. Can be dry at times because it is really written as a guide which is, in part, why it is so entertaining. So if you find yourself getting bored reading the list of supplies you will need when an outbreak occurs - you need to stop and realize what you are actually reading and how rediculous it is. Remind yourself that zombies are not real (or are they!) and it becomes entertaining again.

Currently Reading:

World War Z -

If you don't know - it is by the same guy who wrote the Zombie Survival Guide. It follows the "rules" of the guide so it is made so much more entertaining if you read the guide first. The books go hand in hand so I would recommend reading the Guide and then this. They each make the other one better. So far it is great. Kind of what I was looking for a little bit when I read the Guide except a lot more visceral. I look forward to picking it up again every time I set it down.

Totally nerdy/summer fun reading but if you like AMC's "The Walking Dead" you will definitely enjoy this. The characters in the show could defnitely use it at some points too!

The Saxon stories were great. However it appeared to me when I finished the last book that it looks like there will be another book added at some point.
