"Cute" girl in the office who giggles at and flirts with the middle-aged guys so they'll help her with her work is pretty high on the list today.

People that leave a big gap between them and the car in front of them when stopped at a redlight. This especially irks me when they are in a turning lane and traffic is held up because they won't move forward a normal distance.

The self checkout lanes at like Giant Eagle even Walmart. I am sure it will mess up every time I try to use it and have to wait for someone to come over and punch in some code to let me finish checking out. sigh.
And do not wear khakis and a dark shirt to any store like Dicks Sporting goods. I am sure every older lady will ask me where something is in the store. I have a automated response before they get more than 2 words out that I dont work here.
The best buy greeter person. I dont know why I hate that they have to say hello and goodbye to every person that walks by. I try to say it before they do.

This also drives me nuts. It's so forced and disingenuous. They might as well say, "Oh hi, gonna watch you on my surveillance tv now."The best buy greeter person. I dont know why I hate that they have to say hello and goodbye to every person that walks by. I try to say it before they do.

I hate that I can never find a middle ground on a server at a restaurant. Either they are up your face the whole meal checking if things are ok every 2 minutes or they're nowhere to be found while I'm thirsting for a re-fill or wanting my check 15-20 minutes after completing my meal.

The Best Buy greater guy is all about loss prevention. When I worked at Old Navy back in the day, they always told us to greet everyone, as someone will be less likely to steal if someone acknowledges their presence in the store. Why Not Us wrote:This also drives me nuts. I would assume so. I know the Best Buy thing because it was explained to us at Old Navy, and my buddy was a Best Buy greeter / security camera guy for a while.jprolley wrote:even the old lady when you walk into a wal mart?

Checking to make sure you didn't steal anything I assume. Since usually at Sam's Club nothing are in bags or anything and all bigger boxed items I guess they just compare whats in your cart to whats on the receipt.cheesesteakwithegg wrote:Im always annoyed by the person checking my receipts when I leave Sam's Club. Re: Your irrational pet peeves
That is the reason why. I don't know why it is a big deal to have them check for 2 seconds and let you go.skullman80 wrote:Checking to make sure you didn't steal anything I assume. I've never stolen but for me I think a bigger deterrent is the security devices on the products as opposed to somebody saying a forced greeting.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
I went to NYC few weeks ago. Times square, I was asked 25 times, no joke if I like comedy and wanted to see a comedy show. Vegas those booths always try to stop you and ask how long you are in town, if you were seeing any shows etc...
