Everyone is going to do that early today. I saw some middle market firms miss their earning projections by a penny or two, and lost 30 % yesterday

Well, if these stocks continue to nosedive then I'm gonna have to jump in on Monday. Too tempting to pass up if you ask me.

Yeah, not so much...

This mornings little "dead cat bounce" was a miniature suckers rally, mostly retail investor driven.

I'm staying on the sidelines, nothings making sense right now, you'd think there was a threat of a sovereign default or two on the horizon, no wait...

Looks that way to me. Glad I didn't take the temptation and dump what I had in short term losses to get in in the last hour.

Investors seem ultra scared. The strong jobs report was unexpected and I figured the market would do well.

Ben Graham talked about the markets as being "Manic" sometimes. To be sure, it's a stock pickers market here.

Personally I'd go for the high yielding stocks who's dividends are not only safe, but have a history of increasing. PM looks especially good down here if you don't mind being in a tobacco stock. CAT looks good and so does Berkshire Hathaway at these prices, but for BRKA you have to have 107K laying around and not to many of us do.

I love my dividend stocks in times like these. Just don't look at how much your original principal invested is worth for a little while and collect your dividends. Reinvest them to buy shares of the stock at lower prices.

Days like this make me happy that all the stock I own is in 401K or not yet vested so I can't touch it.

Ha, I bet it ends close to even today...I was curious to see how the market would respond and today it seems it doesn't even know what it wants to do.

Your Google is faster than my Google?

Actually...some truth to that: I just looked again and it refreshed the time....it has been two hours behind. :?
