Okocim Porter is a good Polish beer. Its a sweeter porter, but it is pretty good.
They never sold that for $1 a bottle at my local corner stores.
In all seriousness, a lot major alcoholism - street drinking in fact - in my old hoods.
It was pretty depressing.
Street drinking in Brooklyn? In the Rudi and post Rudi era?
Not saying it didn't happen Columbia, but I'm surprised. The NYPD is extremely zealous about enforcing the "open container" laws.

I'm talking about people passed out on the sidewalk or on the steps leading down to the G train....And they weren't homeless people.
Greenpoint....the garden spot of NYC.
(I was glad to go upscale and move to Woodside.)
Just ate at church brew works for lunch....i think a pumpkin brew is in the works over there, as there were some cooked up pumpkins discarded out back, and a bunch of the brewers were hanging out back there.
But, they also had a pumpkin soup today for special, so the pumpkins might have been related to that.
There's Pumking on draft at Wexford Ale House last night. Very tasty, as always. Also had a Boulder Cold Hop on nitro, which was quite good too. IPAs + nitro = awesomeness in general.
Hough’s in Greenfield (http://houghspgh.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)also has Pumking on tap, and they will do growlers of anything. (The online list isn’t up to date, but they had it as of Monday). This place fairly recently renovated to turn itself into a serious beer bar.
Had Pumking for the first time just now. It was pretty good, not sure if pumpkin beers are my thing. And I really don't think i could drink more than a pint or two of it in a year
