Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
I tried that once. I believe I liked it. It's a bit fuzzy, as I tried it as part of a "wheat beer tasting" I did with a couple of my friends a couple years back:

I was very underwhelmed by Pumking. I mean, it's great for what it is, I just don't think I like pumpkin beers.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpking is my second favorite. Those two together would probably be fantastic because there're less sugary/vanillay notes in Weyerbacher, its more clovey.

Sam Adams "Bonfire Rauchbier" may be the worst beer I have ever had.

In St Lucia drinking Piton, a local lager, so I'm jealous of the beer that's being thrown about in this thread. Nothing beats the views here, though.

No offense to anyone but I'd rather be in St Lucia than drinking a fancy beer on my couch then talking about it here.
That said I bought some neat beers tonight.

Totally. And I'm content...but as a beer geek I would kill for an IPA. So I'm drinking scotch instead.jimjom wrote:No offense to anyone but I'd rather be in St Lucia than drinking a fancy beer on my couch then talking about it here.

2 flying fish Oktoberfest beers are better than 1 flying fish Oktoberfest beer.

Tried the Guinness Black Lager tonight.
It will likely be popular, but there are schwartzbiers out there with more roasted character.

Bottled beers, Kostritzer is the standard, but the.Sam Adams Black Lager is tasty as well.Eismann wrote:Which of the schwartzbiers do you like?PensBeerGeek wrote:Tried the Guinness Black Lager tonight.

I've had a lot of good brewpub versions....one favorite was from my friend Ken's Bridge Brew Works.

Took a flyer on a Baltika Strong Ale. Read on Beer Advocate that it's pretty much swill but will drink it anyway at 8%.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
I tried it for the first time the other day. Didn't really care for it. Smelled like perfume and didn't taste that good.count2infinity wrote:Weyerbacher Pumpkin Ale was okay... not a huge fan.
I had Post Road Pumpkin last night and that was good.
