Re: Current book being read/just finished
stopped about halfway through Dance with Dragons, the book isn't bad, but I'm having a tough time picking it up every night.
Started reading Edgar Rice Burroughs (Tarzan) Barsoom Series: A Princess of Mars (1912). They are free on the kindle. I think there are 11 stories, revolving around John Carter and his adventures on Mars. The first has been excellent and I cannot wait to read more. If you are a fan of science fiction, check them out. The guy who did Finding Nemo is making a movie in the near future which looks boss.

Re: Current book being read/just finished
Last night I finished reading Three Felonies A Day: How the Feds Target the Innocent. It’s an eye-opening exposé on how vague and ambiguous laws can be used to indict pretty much anyone for anything. Then I read Containment, a pretty tight sci-fi novel that the author is selling for 99¢ on the Kindle store. It’s fast paced and well written. I knocked off the whole book in a couple hours.

I read Gibbons' Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire and then the Prince and Discourses by Macchievelli. Good combination of books to read in sequence.
Currently reading Turn of the Screw and Aspern Papers by Henry James.

Just finished a fascinating book on what the author calls, "Female Chauvinist Pigs".
Female Chauvinist Pigs: Women and the Rise of Raunch Culture
Female Chauvinist Pigs: Women and the Rise of Raunch Culture
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Meet the Female Chauvinist Pig -- the new brand of "empowered woman" who embraces "raunch culture" wherever she finds it. In her groundbreaking book, New York magazine writer Ariel Levy argues that, if male chauvinist pigs of years past thought of women as pieces of meat, Female Chauvinist Pigs of today are doing them one better, making sex objects of other women -- and of themselves. Irresistibly witty and wickedly intelligent, Female Chauvinist Pigs makes the case that the rise of raunch does not represent how far women have come; it only proves how far they have left to go.

Re: Current book being read/just finished
Just read "Crabwalk" for my European World War II history course. Very interesting read combining non-fiction events surround the sinking of the German Gustoff liner (and assassination of Nazi political leader Wilhelm Gustoff) and a fictional tale surrounding the events. Sort of tough to get through the first chapter, but after that it all starts to come together. I'm by no means an avid reader, but this one really caught my interest.

Read "The Boy Who Loved Batman" yesterday, couldn't put it down, read the entire thing.
http://www.amazon.com/Boy-Who-Loved-Bat ... 488&sr=8-1
If you are a fan of comics, batman in general, or any of the batman movies, I highly suggest checking it out. It's the story of a boy whose dream was to always make a dark and gritty Batman movie dating back to the 60's. He is the currently the producer of the batman movies, it's a really inspiring adventure. Check it out
