Re: Your irrational pet peeves
People (read: girls) who send 4 or 5 consecutive text messages with total amount of characters that would barely fill up one.
*lol
*Thanks for calling me back btw

*You were probably out

k.
Though annoying it is a step above not receiving a return text at all. I can understand not having your phone and missing on a text for an hour or so but a day or more? Might as well splurge on some stamps and save the US postal service.

I am very guilty of this. I will put my phone done and leave for hours at a time without it.RPKJr429 wrote:k.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
what are you supposed to answer to texts like this:
"hey im going to the store this afternoon to pick up tortillas for dinner"
"k" seems like an acceptable response to me.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
I recommend a "Thanks, you don't have to do that!!" Usually, that will make you look good but they will still go anyway. However, you obviously draw the risk of being taken up on your offer.canaan wrote:what are you supposed to answer to texts like this:

I go with "sounds good." Makes me look like I'm putting in more of an effort than "k."canaan wrote:what are you supposed to answer to texts like this:

Or you could ask them to pick up something else you need.IrishEyes wrote:I go with "sounds good." Makes me look like I'm putting in more of an effort than "k."canaan wrote:what are you supposed to answer to texts like this:

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
My former boss hates when people respond to his emails with just "thanks." Possibly the ultimate irrational pet peeve. He apparently feels no need to be thanked.
Especially now that I do not work for him anymore although we still work together in the same department, I try to send him emails that just say "thanks" as much as possible.

When you are waiting to cross the street and the last car before a huge gap stops to let you cross. I don't need them to stop... They are actually slowing me down because You have to do that little "no, you go" hand wave dance. It's probably the only time I get annoyed at people just trying to be helpful.

At least they stop.Froggy wrote:When you are waiting to cross the street and the last car before a huge gap stops to let you cross. I don't need them to stop... Yield signs, more specifically how people react to them, piss me off.
They either stop completely when no one is coming, or they completely ignore it and merge without looking (or in the case you're talking about, blowing through the crosswalk)

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
i get pissed at people who call me when i'm driving
a) they don't know that i'm driving
b) it's my fault i still haven't set up the bluetooth feature in my car after 3 years
c) all i have to do is not answer the phone, and just call them back when ever i get where i'm going
...so i guess i finally found one that's "irrational"

I don't like the words "karma" or "classy" by certain fan bases with reference to anything in hockey.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
I have to admit, I kind of hate that too. I can see if it was a bring request or a lot of hard work, but I'll answer a question for my boss that takes like 2 seconds, and he responds "thanks" every time. My inbox is full enough. I don't need those. I understand the person is just being nice, but it's just my opinion.PghSkins wrote:My former boss hates when people respond to his emails with just "thanks."
