I hate the "worst case scenario" Direct TV commercials. Those ads DO NOT want to make me switch from my current provider.

when you hate direct tv commercials you get mad. when you get mad you complain on your local message board. when you complain on your local message board posters disagree with you. don't make posters disagree with you. like direct tv commercials.shmenguin wrote:i completely approve of those commercialsllipgh2 wrote:I hate the "worst case scenario" Direct TV commercials. that company shouldn't brag about its ingredient label when "natural flavors" is listed. that could easily include beaver anus.

Any ad that uses the word "artisan" to describe its product. Lewis Black went on a rant about this on the daily show a few weeks ago and it was hysterical

He did? Nice, I gotta look that up -- I've been on that since all the fast food places have been using it. Such a bull**** buzzword. They're not fooling anyone (or, maybe they are, in which case those people deserve to be fooled).jprolley wrote:Any ad that uses the word "artisan" to describe its product. is it dominoes that has "artisan" pizza, where you can't pick what toppings you want? they spin it that the toppings were carefully chosen, and they're giving you the ultimate experience in flavor. my guess is that the entire pizza ships in frozen and they're just reheating it before it goes in the box.

My guess is that the crust is probably so flimsy that any extra toppings would just make everything fall off when you pick up a sliceshmenguin wrote:is it dominoes that has "artisan" pizza, where you can't pick what toppings you want? they spin it that the toppings were carefully chosen, and they're giving you the ultimate experience in flavor. my guess is that the entire pizza ships in frozen and they're just reheating it before it goes in the box.

The Universal Studios commercials. They fill me with an incredible amount of rage. I hate the "acting" - normal people do not speak or react this way.
The scene that really gets me is the theater of people watching Shrek in 3D and how they all throw their arms up & back in the air in unison.. I don't know why it makes me so mad but it does. And the weather channel shows these every single commercial break in the morning while I'm watching. Ugh.

The radio ads for some car dealer where the guys banter back and forth and laugh at each other for no apparent reason.

ok... just saw a commercial for Just For Men where there was a news feed about the last gray haired man curing his condition with Just For Men, and then men around the world were triumphantly celebrating. i don't get it.... he was the LAST gray haired man... either every other man on the planet was aware of Just For Men, or they weren't going gray to begin with. either way, why the celebration? it makes no sense...
