Wow! What a sequence of putts on 12. Monster putt by Furyk followed by a huge birdie by Mcdowell

One of the only tourneys left that has a full 18 hole tie breaker the day after. Sort of hoping for one...I'll leave work a little early and go to the bar to watch.DudeMan2766 wrote:So, had no idea but friend told me if theres a tie they play 18 tmw? Is that true?? And if so....guess who's off

My dad said he golfed against Rocco in high school. Said it was stupid, he'd shoot in the 20s at Mt Oden

If I was Thompson, i'd put my feet up, crack open a beer and enjoy because there's a chance that you're either going to be playing tomorrow or holding a trophy in an hour or so.

Re: LGP Golf Thread
4 or so years ago, I was golfing at a place in Altoona. On the 18th they had a stone marker where Rocco hit his drive to when he played there. It took me 2 shots to get to it (one was a duff, but still).ulf wrote:My dad said he golfed against Rocco in high school. Said it was stupid, he'd shoot in the 20s at Mt Oden

company sponsored him. They played a bunch of rounds together, and my stepdad is awed by his game to this day (Love played a bunch of rounds at Sinking Valley CC)

Furyk is looking bad. Simpson might win this thing.

Re: LGP Golf Thread
Furyk (2) and McDowell (1) have lead the PGA in driving accuracy this year. Strange to see something like that from Furyk.

Re: LGP Golf Thread
Whew...glad that's over. Y'all might have wanted to see a playoff but this kid certainly didn't because that would have meant I'd have had to work tomorrow instead of getting to play somewhere in this nice SF area. Fog was surreal when it rolled in about 1PT this afternoon and it was stinkin COLD out there (just because you're in Cali doesn't mean it's warm in the summer!). Nice to see Webb win as he's truly one of the good guys in the game but I would have loved to have seen Furyk or Els get another one. And that Tiger guy? Oh well, maybe next month (hopefully not).
