This.

Also currently on a whiskey kick. Myself and another friend have been testing out all different types of whiskey this summer. Tullamore Dew and other Irish whiskeys are currently the favorite. I get to go to a wonderful Irish whiskey distillery soon and spending some summer earnings on a nice bottle of whiskey.

Over the past few months I have started to dislike mix drinks with too much sugar (beside rum/coke) and really only drink nice liquor on the rocks.
Tequila mixed drinks and rum/coke are my bar go to drinks, since the well whiskeys and rums are not good on their own.

sounds kinda like the pinnacle cotton candy vodka. something hilarious always happens when a bottle is brought out, hard to believe it's legally allowed, basically tastes like a kids drink.

The only wine i really love, other wines are ok is a tawny port. Its really sweet but its a whopping 18% by volume which makes me like it evn more. So yeah watch out. Its a very sweet flavorful wine like i said its the only one i like, all others i can live without.

Mixed drinks... not into more than 3 ingredient drinks, so the traditional rum and coke and gin and tonic suit me fine. If i am feeling dangerous that night i might add a slice of lime to the G and T.

Heh, at the Park City Food/Wine Festival, there was a port vendor giving away samples of tawny port. Amazing stuff, but wow that got me started.

Had Batmans last night. Needless to say, I should've eaten more before going to the bar. :face:

But Capt'n Morgan + Coke + I have no idea what was in the shot glass (I know there was Bailey's in it) x 3 = Recipe for disaster. But man were they delicious.

You can't get drunk off one beer. Moving forward, chug it and go to the alcohol store. Or drink on the way.

My go-to spirits are scotch, Tennessee whisky, bourbon, and gin. I don’t drink tequila and I actively dislike vodka. I have nothing against rum but don't drink it very much. Vodka, IMO, is just gin that isn’t finished yet (or, as my brother calls it, “gin with training wheels”). My favorites include:

Scotch: Talisker and Laphroaig for single malts; Famous Grouse for blends

Bourbon: Maker’s Mark, Old Rip Van Winkle Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 15yr, Old Crow for making sours and mixing with cola

Tennessee whisky: George Dickel (better than Jack Daniels IMO, especially the white-label No. 12)

Gin: Bombay Sapphire, Bluecoat, Anchor Old Protrero (if you can find it)

Just because of all the other awesome stuff you bring to the board, I'm gonna let this one slide. Also assuming your brother, were he on the board would bring this same style of awesome, I'll let that one slide too.

I'll echo those who say that expensive or exotic doesn't necessarily mean the only game in town. Sure, they're fashionable and a great thing throw around at dinner parties, but there's surprisingly great stuff in the rotgut section of the liquor store.

One of my favorites is Montezuma tequila. What?
Spoiler:
Image
Cheap cheap. But it has a taste of freshly-ground black pepper that I find amazing. I've tried all of the regularly-available higher-end tequilas and maybe they're more true to the real taste of tequila, but I don't care. Straight shots of Montezuma with lime and salt chasing them is a super-duper treat. Being rotgut, it does produce a bit of a headache the next day, but moderation is, as always, the key. My only problem is that I can't decide if I prefer shot-lime-salt or shot-salt-lime. I'll keep working on it.

I don't like to drink liquor all that much. Occasionally I don't mind, but I prefer beer.

Wine is also terrible IMO.

Ah, but be happy, man! There is a whole world of debauchery awaiting you before your liver fails and you die!
