For so many people it ends up being tequila.no name wrote:I think everyone had a bad night on a certin drink and swears never to drink it again. Mine is Tequila...
Mine is red wine. Dear lord, I get so weepy/open when I drink red wine. I poured my heart out to a girl while under the influence of red wine, that ended up being quite the big mistake.
White wines are all good though

Mine was vodka. I woke up at some point in the middle of the night to throw up, only I didn't bother getting out of bed. When I got up in the morning, I had a nice surprise waiting for me puddled around my feet. Yum.viva la ben wrote:Worse hangover I ever had was from downing a bottle of lemoncello

A great deal of my ethnic background is English and Scottish. Show me some clear distilled alcohol, and I either want to infuse it with juniper or put it in a barrel and come back in 15 years.Juice wrote:Just because of all the other awesome stuff you bring to the board, I'm gonna let this one slide. Ive become a fan of the Old Fashioned. The first one I ever had was rum based at Volt in Frederick. No fruit chunks in it. I really liked it and have been drinking them ever since of different variations. I think I prefer the rum version but a nice Makers old fashioned with cherries is very nice.

I can't stand gin. Maybe because my grandmother drank a fifth a day for 80 years. When she died Gilby's stock dropped 67 points.

Jager. My 21st. Good God was I a mess. The smell of it is just terrible now, makes me want to puke.no name wrote:I think everyone had a bad night on a certin drink and swears never to drink it again. Mine is Tequila...
On another note, I'm always afraid to get mixed drinks when i go out. Always stick to beer and basics (Gin & tonic, rum & coke etc). Mainly because my buddy ordered a hurricane 2 years ago and it came in a curvy glass with an umbrella and he still gets made fun of. You guys have anything a little more manly (that most bars would have) ? I'm interested in something new.

Manhattan (whiskey, sweet vermouth, bitters)
Tom Collins (gin, lemon juice, sugar, soda)
Whiskey sour (whiskey, lemon juice, sugar)
Old Fashioned (whiskey, simple syrup, bitters)
Planter’s Punch (dark rum, lemon juice, Grenadine, bitters)
Rusty Nail (Drambuie and scotch)
Gimlet (gin and Rose’s lime juice)
Rob Roy (basically a Manhattan but made with scotch)

Find a supper club in central/northern Wisconsin and order a whiskey or brandy Old Fashioned. Hands down the best you'll find anywhere.PensFanInDC wrote:Ive become a fan of the Old Fashioned. I had bacon infused vodka in a bloody Mary this past weekend at Meat and Potatoes. Really good. Hoping I can find this at Wine and Spirits store.
