Re: LGP Golf Thread
I know Stricker is going to get a lot of the blame but it really was a team wide collapse. Lose the first five matches and lose two matches when leading on 17? That's just horrible.

Rory McIlroy walked off the course at the Honda Classic, citing "mental reasons". What a clown

Hopefully Wozniacki finally dumped him
Or maybe he was tired of touring with One Direction.

I missed out on all this fun. I had been in LA the previous week and had almost all of last week off.
Don't have much extra inside info on Rory's dental issues but there's gotta be something else given that his first reaction to reporters in the parking lot today was 'Nothing physical. Just not mentally there.' and then comes back an hour later with the wisdom tooth story. Yes, he had had an appointment to get it out back in December, which he opted out of. And supposedly, his painkiller prescription had expired which led to the Advil, which didn't work. But, um, there's hundreds of doctors in Palm Beach Gardens. Surely, he could have found someone to authorize a refill. However, the gossips around the office are betting on Caroline having dumped him. We'll see.

Quite the return to form for Tiger. Definitely has a great chance to get his first major in a while.

LITT I hit the R1 and wasn't a big fan. I have the Nike VRS and love it, and my buddy got the covert and absolutely pounds it. I think Nike drivers are pretty underrated.. No experience with the Amp.

I want to know 2 things:
1. How the hell do you get your ball stuck in a tree like that?
2. Why wouldn't you just take the drop?

+1 on the Nike drivers. I used to hit the sasquatch which then was the SQ. I love the square drivers.ulf wrote:LITT I hit the R1 and wasn't a big fan. I'm looking for a new set of irons this year. I saw that Dick's has TaylorMade Burner Plus 4-AW for 299. They seem to be what I'm looking for with the forgiveness they offer. Anyone have any experience with them?

Re: LGP Golf Thread
I'm a relatively new golfer and these things are amazing. I absolutely love them. Great at getting the ball up for great ball path and the long irons are pretty long. Highly recommend. Although I do like to brag, the wife and I fought over me buying these last black friday at Dunham's for $229 and I still have never seen a cheaper price. Still haven't let her forget that.Nuge wrote:I'm looking for a new set of irons this year. I saw that Dick's has TaylorMade Burner Plus 4-AW for 299. I got the VRS for Christmas and love it as well. My drives have so much more pop now. Probably increased my distance a good 30-40 yards.ulf wrote:LITT I hit the R1 and wasn't a big fan. I've been playing the Taylor made r7 limited for four years or so. I love it. I've hit the r9 and the rbz and they are both kind of meh. When I play in Arizona the rental set I use has the VRS. I like the feel of the new nike woodsshafnutz05 wrote:I got the VRS for Christmas and love it as well. My drives have so much more pop now. 1. Oak trees have some pretty big catching gloves. Cypress trees have equipment the size of Garth Snow's pads. Never know how that pinball will bounce in the branches.
2. Great question. He was already dropping shots, what was one more? And as a result, he hurts his shoulder and Achilles and WD's during the weather delay to avoid further injury (and he's whiny and wanted to go home, but that's beside the point).

Thought the end would be close, but Fowler just self-destructed on 16. TW looking strong heading into Augusta.
