Re: Pittsburgh Sports Media Warz Game Thread
My thoughts on how this breaks down with the reds:
Started with one - THG
A red can recruit each night, even if he is killed (or possibly a day recruit
Night one - THG recruited slappy
Night two - slappy recruited canaan
Night three - canaan recruited or protected himself
Night four - recruit maybe?
I may be off on the timeline of nights because I didn't go back and look, but I'm guessing the reds can either protect or recruit each night.

I don't think there have been any other recruits. There is still one of the original Madden Followers in Paul Steigerwald, though.MWB wrote:My thoughts on how this breaks down with the reds:

thehockeyguru (Mark Madden) died but was viewed as Bob Smizik (slappybrown)
slappybrown (Mark Madden) died but was viewed as Stan Savran (canaan)
canaan (Mark Madden) died but was viewed as Paul Steigerwald - no affiliation to either current side. Don't see why he'd be a bad guy, other than people always complain about him.
So, we still have to find Mark Madden.

Could shafnutz be bad? He and Canaan were tandem voting earlier in the game. He's been under the radar and seems like someone Canaan would recruit.

Re: Pittsburgh Sports Media Warz Game Thread
that's an interesting idea crank. possibly voting with canaan closely with a plan early on to recruit canaan so that if either got caught later on the excuse of "Hey, we weren't both red back then." i'm at a loss though. i'm thinking either cbear for weird (or imo weird) posts, nan for being nan (relatively useless), or shad.

Wasn't that day 1 though? And canaan was recruited day 2 or 3 I think. Although I guess shaf could have been the original and canaan the recruit.Crankshaft wrote:Could shafnutz be bad? rel said he tried to kill canaan on night 4 so you are missing a night in there for a possible recruit.MWB wrote:My thoughts on how this breaks down with the reds:

My theory is that the reds can either recruit or protect, not both. So when canaan protected himself, there was no recruit.

Makes sense. I am trying to see how many possible recruits there would be. So, your scenario for night 3 is off and should be on night 4 which leaves a hole for what happened night 3.MWB wrote:My theory is that the reds can either recruit or protect, not both. Re: Pittsburgh Sports Media Warz Game Thread
Night 3 would be a recruit. Recruits nights 1,2,3 and a protect night 4. That would mean there is still one red out there. Unless it was more than just THG to start.

Re: Pittsburgh Sports Media Warz Game Thread
Night 1 - canaan kills EPP (per canaan), possible recruit
Day 1 - THG fired
Night 2 - rel tries to kill columbia, c2i saves columbia (per rel and c2i), possible recruit
Day 2 - Pavel fired
Night 3 - canaan kills columbia (per canaan), possible recruit
Day 3 - Slappy Fired (outed by Crank)
Night 4 - rel tries to kill canaan (per rel), canaan saved, no recruit made??
Day 4 - canaan fired (outed by Crank on Day 3)
Night 5 - nothing, possible recruit
So, we have 4 to 5 possible recruits, depending on what saved canaan Night 4. If there was 1 red to start, there would be 5 or 6 total possible. 3 are dead, leaving 2 or 3 left.
Does this seem correct?

Right. So it just comes down to if the reds have unlimited recruits or if they are capped. My guess is they can recruit or protect, with no cap on recruits. This would mean there are now 2 reds. With two factions it would be easier to find reds. Plus they have no killing power, so it's just about numbers.

No, I don't think so. Pecky is another that I'm suspicious of.

Re: Pittsburgh Sports Media Warz Game Thread
I don't think THG recruited slappy. Crank checked slappy night 1 and he came back red. So, unless SDD allowed Crank to view slappy as a red the same night he was recruited, I think Slappy was always a red and not a recruit. I say this because with 20 total, it makes sense to start with 2 reds, and 9 per faction. If there was only 1 red, then there would be 19 to split among 2 groups, giving one of the groups a slight numbers advantage to start.MWB wrote:My thoughts on how this breaks down with the reds:

Re: Pittsburgh Sports Media Warz Game Thread
End the game on a majority? That's how every wars game ends, if the reds have a majority. But if it takes a majority of reds to end the game then they would need 8 right now. I agree that it would probably take a majority, but I think they are not close to it right now.PensHckyFan79 wrote:I'm leaning towards rel right now, but cranky not giving any info and delaying could be him playing on the "good faith" he has built up as he has possibly been recruited and is trying to buy time for the reds to get another recruit and end this game on a majority. Although last game the reds still needed to vote everyone out and I would expect them to be voting for someone by now and not just laying low.
I'm usually not around in the evening so I will post my vote before I leave work (5:00 ish)

We're getting close to the deadline with not much in the vote situation. I'm more comfortable with a pecky vote.

I would actually have to agree with Pecky. If I was red, I would want to take out the seer first. Since the reds can't kill, they would have to recruit him.

Yeah, I could go with crank as well. It's a risky recruit because he's a know commodity, but the gain could outweigh the risk.
