Trading up three spots to get a mediocre RB and drafting Weeden killed the rebuild.

I actually give the Browns credit for making this trade. Richardson is a good running back and I expect him to be successful with Indy, but the newly hired Browns management took a step away from the delusion of being "this piece or that piece away" and took an honest assessment of their roster and set the team on a path for a true rebuild instead of throwing pails of water overboard trying to rescue a ship that sank long ago.

Their crappy 2nd year quarterback turns 30 the day after their week six game and their general manager doesn't like taking running backs in the first round. The Richardson trade gives them a pick that the GM holds higher in value than the player it was previously used for and removes them of their only offensive weapon, increasing their guarantee to suck for a good draft spot. How they use those picks and screwing up the selections is a variable that exists for every team, but the Browns have put their rebuild in a good position.

I'm just happy it opens up another potential landing spot for Ben Tate in my keeper leagues.

That would be nice. I'd much rather the Texans cut Foster and give the job to Tate next year.

regardless, he had over 1300 yards from scrimmage last year and 12 touchdowns on a **** team that has no QB. he will be very successful in indy

267 rushing attempts. 51 receptions.

1300 yards from scrimmage is an indictment.

It's a win win for Indy and Richardson. They have a running back now that is at least a threat and they've taken a RB from a really bad situation and put him into a better one where he's not the only person everyone is looking to stop.

I'd normally say that's some pretty harsh stuff, but this is Suh we're talking about.

I'll allow it.
I'm sort of bewildered as to how this hasn't happened already.

Anyone else see this? I thought it was really weird too. I know Sal Pal was the main guy for the WOrld Wide Leader who covered the Eagles, so I couldn't figure out if maybe he badmouthed Reid and there was tension, or they were old friends and it was joking. Deadspin makes a good point tho they it looks like he did cut off Alex Flanagan and Reid knew what he was doing. Also looks like people are telling Paolantonio to keep moving. It was just uncomfortably odd tho.

So has the NFL figured out the Chip Kelly offense or is the KC defense just that good?

I get the feeling that people are going to be asking if the KC defense is that good all year and people are going to keep making an excuse that the other team is bad.

I didn't see the game but I'd guess it was the combination of the short week causing crappy football as usual and a KC team that was fired up to win for their head coach.

2 out of 3 weeks, the Eagles have looked sub par on offense for big stretches of the game. I still stand by my assertion that it's a gimmic that won't last the season.

KC's defense may have something to do with that last night.

They put up 500+ plus yards on SD and scored 30 pts. If that's anemic -- I suppose they went a few drives without scoring -- then I sure as hell wish the Steelers come down with some sickle cell.

At Oregon they would have stretches during games where they looked bad and couldn't find a rhythm. Then they'd adjust, and eventually they would run so many plays that the opposing defense would collapse.

Favorite part of last night was going for two, lol. I wish I was in Philly to hear everybody lose their minds on sports radio.

I would almost be more worried, if I was a Redskins fan, about RGIII's mental capacity than I am about his physical well-being. I'm not sure what all the off-season drama surrounding him, Shanahan, etc was, but I don't think you can blame his knee injury for how bad he looks this season.

Funny how a quarterback doesnt look as smart when suddenly he's asked to throw the ball more than 5 yards down field.

He was so insulated last year that none of this is surprising.

He was also so accurate. His biggest problem last year, out of everything, were his receivers who couldn't catch a ball to save their lives.
