Re: A little late, but... Breaking Bad???
The more I think about the scene where Todd kills Andrea the more and more I want him dead. All they needed to do was to go, knock on Andrea's door, have her answer the door, talk to her for a bit then leave. I think that would have been PLENTY to remind Jesse that they have the upper hand on him. When he shot her I had to step away from the TV for a bit.

This is the same guy who just shot a kid who saw them doing something that he couldn't possibly understand.

It bothered me a little in this last episode that Todd and his crew are basically ninjas at this point--assassins that can appear anywhere and kill anyone without leaving a trace--but I suppose that's kind of been the case prior in the show with the cousins (brothers?) from the Mexican cartel and even Mike.

They had already shown Jesse the picture of Andrea and Brock. Just going to the door wouldn't have been enough.count2infinity wrote:The more I think about the scene where Todd kills Andrea the more and more I want him dead. so would everyone be mad if the show does something goofy like having jesse and brock run off with vacuum cleaner man and start a new life with dead Walt's millions? i'm not sure it would bother me.

I'd be mad if Jesse died because of a blood clot and if Walter moved to Canada to be a lumberjack.shmenguin wrote:so would everyone be mad if the show does something goofy like having jesse and brock run off with vacuum cleaner man and start a new life with dead Walt's millions? i'm not sure it would bother me.

Re: A little late, but... Breaking Bad???
I read an interesting theory on reddit....
Walt takes care of Todd, Lydia, Nazis, and Jesse in some fashion.
He then shows up at Skyler's, allowing her to turn in him to prove that she isn't involved with him / save herself. Right before he does this, he takes the ricin and dies a few days later in jail, without ever being prosecuted.
I would dig that ending.

But even when that happened, I didn't get the impression he was a psycho. You could argue (if you're in that line of work) that they needed to take care of Drew Sharp who was the only witness. I think Mike essentially said as much. The issue is that it wasn't Todd's decision to make, and that he shouldn't have been armed anyway when they were hijacking the train. At that time I got the vibe that he was too eager to impress, and maybe a bit of a loose cannon. However, he's definitely been downgraded to psycho in the last 3-4 episodes.Idoit40fans wrote:This is the same guy who just shot a kid who saw them doing something that he couldn't possibly understand.

We don't know that the ricin will be used, or even attempted to be used. It could always be a sort of insurance policy that is never needed. Eg, Walt knows the nazis could imprison him, so he has it on hand.

I don't think its going to be emphasized that he has it only to have it not get used.

But even his reaction to both killings was the same. Very matter of fact, like he just threw away a banana peel.pressure=9Pa wrote:But even when that happened, I didn't get the impression he was a psycho. They emphasized when they introduced Vamanos Pest that Todd was an experienced, high level B&E artist.largegarlic wrote:It bothered me a little in this last episode that Todd and his crew are basically ninjas at this point--assassins that can appear anywhere and kill anyone without leaving a trace--but I suppose that's kind of been the case prior in the show with the cousins (brothers?) from the Mexican cartel and even Mike.
Another thing I found interesting that happened early in Season 5 was Mike's take on Lydia and Jack. He was spot on with Lydia, warning Jesse and Walt that she is much more cunning and sinister than she appears and that they'd be wise to kill her then. He whiffed on Jack, though, saying he looked into him and his crew and that they're not a problem.

Did not want to get hooked on the Br Ba marathon this week. Too late.

I personally haven't liked Jesse very much as a character over the last few seasons, but seeing what he use to be (living at his parents' house, etc.)...it hurts my heart a little bit. It's also interesting to see how his mannerisms and style have matured over the years.
Also: from what I've read, the actress that plays Gretchen has been in a pretty demanding play role, and the Grey Matter 'interview' was filmed in a very tight frame while the actor who plays Elliot was also in NYC. I would not be expecting Elliot/Gretchen to appear in the finale.

Yeah, that scene was filmed in 30 minutes from what I read.

It's a lot different watching the marathon knowing the outcomes and looking for forshadows.

Elliot and Gretchen will NOT be in the finale... there's no need for them, they've served their purpose already

I agree. No reason for Walt to go after them.

I agree though, I don't think Elliot and Gretchen will be in the finale, but I wouldn't mind seeing Walt go after them as well as the nazis.
