Aside from throwing votes on, they haven't really contributed too much up until this point.

I have no idea what limitations Crankshaft had in terms of using the hot potato. I could use it at anytime. I assume he could too.MRandall25 wrote:That was a bit unclear. Then again, shad died at night. So maybe Crank could only use it at night? I also don't know when the mods communicated that Crankshaft had received the potato from me. So its hard to extrapolate anything from the timing once I PM the mods his name.

When rel couldn't or wouldn't vote for you he commented it might indicate you were red, which for some reason would be "unfair". It just seemed odd, but I probably just misunderstood it.slappybrown wrote:net cbear in the interests of self-preservation.

Re: *** Jellyfish Invasion III: Return of the Sloogs GDT ***
Yep. I thought that being told you can't vote for person x wouldn't be a very balanced defense mechanism for the reds:
A) singling out one player would make it very obvious
and B) being able to tell the village that you can't vote for somebody tips them all off.
It doesn't seem like it would be a good defensive ability to be given to reds.
It's the one qualm I had in voting for slappy. Then he announced that you passed the hot potato off to Crank and I felt better.
Off to another meeting, give me an hour. I hate getting back from a trip.

Ugh, every time I open this thread a new request pops up at work. Finally caught up, but not sure who to vote for. I'd hate to jump on the slappy bandwagon if Willie's argument for CBear is legit, so I'll take a look back when I get home.

Re: *** Jellyfish Invasion III: Return of the Sloogs GDT ***
WK's argument for me is legit.
I did vote after he pointed out the odds are 3x greater that a green would post soon after a write-up. Canaan goes on to say why would he send in an action and then immediately post...which it turns out he did. WK's "odds" however don't take into account that there are likely to be at least three reds PM'ing back and forth, trying to reach an agreement on their one night move; while the only thing a green has to do is pick a name for himself. It's like saying the chances of rain today are 50-50; either it'll rain or not. It ignores the actions behind the scenes that underlie the reasons it would rain or not.

Or a green could be busy and/or away from the computer. I still think it's far more likely to out a green with that logic than a red.

It certainly turned out that way, but I think your odds are misleading. But, it's also not the only reason I voted for canaan once.

12 to net. Deadline is 9:30 am.
So, why would shad care about it going to random if there were no reds in the mix? EPP, mac, canaan and MWB are now dead and blue or green. That leaves teib, Crank and tfrizz as possible reds that shad didn't want in a random vote.shafnutz05 wrote:release mac

I'm still not entirely sure how this vote took off with it being mac's "hunch", but I'd rather just get to 12 than have the "sloog protocol" dictate things.
