Not much left to explain.
3 baddies - EPP, PFIDC, WK
1 Gene Rayburn (3 protects, 2 investigations) - Pecky investigated canaan and relantel and saved himself once, but not at the right time.
9 regular players

Once again, with the accumulation of points, players could purchase
3 pts: protect self (against day or night kill)
4 pts: protect self/another (choose one)
5 pts: kill OR investigate (choose one)
There was also a secret option available only to the baddies:
7 pts: recruit
As I said in the game, the points didn't rack up fast enough to have much of an impact. It just delayed the game one turn when WK spent his 3 points for a temporary stay of execution.

I'd like to thank WK for getting himself killed and having a nice tidy ending to the game prior to the holiday weekend.
A very commendable self-sacrifice.

Seems like this was a pretty cool game... perhaps you can do another in the future with more players so more points get accumulated?

Yeah, I can do that. This first one was only an experiment anyway, thus the small number of players. I was thinking of increasing the number of players and also the number of panelists for each contestant round to six, as in the real show. On the downside, that may increase delays while I wait for responses and it will definitely increase the PM traffic I have to manage. Also, I can include more questions with obvious answers ("Boobs!") and maybe another tweak or two.the wicked child wrote:Seems like this was a pretty cool game... perhaps you can do another in the future with more players so more points get accumulated?
Anyway, it's possible. Maybe I'll try it this week.

I think this would be a great game outside of the typical Wars format.

I agree. This game was too easy for me to pick off the entire executive team.

- Six LGP posters as panelists.MRandall25 wrote:I think this would be a great game outside of the typical Wars format.
- Two LGP posters as contestants.
- Two rounds of questions.
- (Tie-breakers if necessary.)
- The winner goes to the Super-Match. Can get help from three panelists. Q: Where do responses (audience surveys) come from?
- Assuming a match, goes to the big money round and chooses one panelist. If match, then win.
Then what? Bragging rights? I don't have $5000 to award to the winner.
I guess I think it might get old quick ...

Re: *** Match Game Wars Gameplay Thread ***
I like the idea of point collecting in a Warz game... but I'm not sure about the Match game format (Although it was great fun)
What if we did something were points were rewarded for ... I dunno.
The cool thing would be if there were public AND private rewards. That way you could track some folks points totals but in other cases you'd just know someone was accumulating, but you wouldn't know who...

But honestly I didn't think that far. I would just say rotate everyone randomly after the super match thing and see who can rack up the most matches/points?
I think if you had enough fresh voices as panelists/contestants, you could sustain it for a good time.

What about those compromising photos of Fannie Flagg that you picked on eBay? Talk about a deluxe prize.
