So I guess the state police were getting a ton of calls about pets outside. Sounds like they got mad because the news told people to call them and report it.

We'll you'd be screwed either way unless there's another vehicle parked within 10 feet of your battery. That's why I bought a jump pack.count2infinity wrote:what if there is no other car that's started? then what?mac5155 wrote:Yep, jump it with a running vehiclePensFanInDC wrote:If a battery won't work due to cold is it possible to jump start it?

You have a suburban, right? It's going to be tough to use a 4 cyl to crank over a cold 8 cyl.

Be back at square one in the morning. Best thing to do would be throw a heating pad around the battery, then look into replacing it or at least getting the CCA tested (Cold cranking amps).columbia wrote:I'd jump it now to at least defrost it a bit.

I think I'm going to put on a pair of shorts and flip flops and go play in the yard. Come at me frostbite.

Do these dummies on Facebook know it's not turning to steam, only spreading out and turning into small ice crystals? Does no one know of latent heat anymore?

The furnace is out at my office. It's 49 degrees in here. I was just told, "we aren't going anywhere, get back to work." Awesome
