It's great the other 364 days of the year, but someone must have peed in the owner's wheaties this morning.eddysnake wrote:are they hiring?meow wrote:The furnace is out at my office. It's 49 degrees in here. I was just told, "we aren't going anywhere, get back to work." Awesome

crossing the blvd of the allies this am, had the sun shine on face~ through six layers, a coat, 2 hoods and 2 hats. But it felt good.

The perks of driving a diessel: it took 20 miles and nearly a half hour to get heat this morning.

The end of my driveway is a sheet of ice. It's on a slight slope, and when I backed onto that portion the rear end of my car slid sideways into my yard. Getting back into my garage might be fun tonight.

It seems like you could break up the ice with a shotgun.

Re: 2013-2014 Winter Weather Thread
My moms house is at the top of a pretty long hill, basically righ where the road goes down hill. That was always fun when. Was icy, though i never went down it. Then our driveway was right across from another driveway but off center. Basically both driveways were 2 "lanes" and one of their lanes was close to lining up, maybe like 3 feet off. Our driveway goes uphill a but and the other is flat. We would back into that driveway and get running starts into our driveway. That was easy if you were goig to one side of the garage. Not great if youre going to the otherShyster wrote:The end of my driveway is a sheet of ice. Re: 2013-2014 Winter Weather Thread
Are there any avenues of recourse against the people that don't do anything about the ice on their sidewalk?
there's a large apartment complex on my street that I pass on the way to the bus stop that has a stretch of 20 yards thick ice sidewalk.

You could call the apartment complex and ask them to salt it.

I believe property owners are responsible for keeping the sidewalks safe and clear.Troy Loney wrote:Are there any avenues of recourse against the people that don't do anything about the ice on their sidewalk?
