Omg...Lays Chicken and Waffle potato chips are amazing.
I had them last year when they were first introduced, and thought they were entirely too sweet for a potato chip.
those things are no bueno. do not like.

now those sriracha chips that somehow finished in 2nd, I could tear through a bag of those with no problem.

I received a letter and an email from the state of PA in Dec. telling me I could now file my sales tax reports quarterly instead of monthly, so my first payment for the year should be Jan-March. Today I receive an email from the state saying sales tax payment is due Feb 20, which would be the normal "monthly" payment date. I guess I get to have the fun of calling Harrisburg and trying to find someone who actually knows what's going on. :(

so what's the deal with linkedin? unless you're in some position where you do a lot of networking, if you put up a profile, aren't you basically telling your company that you're interested in being recruited by somewhere else?

Hmmm...never thought about it that way. I have one just because it's good to network, especially when I go to get a job here in a year or two. But I'd imagine if you're already in a position, making a linkedin account can be explained by just a networking opportunity, no more, no less.

Also to facilitate some commercial transactions, atleast my cousin said he'll use it to discuss participation with other banks in syndicated loans.

No it's standard. I'd be stunned if any business viewed it that way at this point.

My boss was recruited through LinkedIn....so it's funny to see that website up on the monitor, occasionally.
I assume it's not for socializing.

I was somewhat appalled by some of those chicken & watermelon-related comments, but was surprised it was nuked.

If you belong to any groups that are visible on your LinkedIn profile that's pretty much visible by anyone you are connected to. So avoid posting in the 'career opportunities' threads and whatnot and you'll be fine.

The site is just Facebook for professional connections.

i'm in a small company where the owner analyzes every one of his employees. he probably spends more time trying to figure me out more than anyone else in the company. if he saw me on there, i think he would know what i was up to.

I'm waiting on that call.

I'm not coming in regardless, but I'd prefer it be their call.
