Some of the "did you know" commercials are pretty good. The oldest trick in the book still makes me laugh and the owls are pretty funny too. That coming from a guy who got his user name from one of the caveman commercials.meecrofilm wrote:They peaked during the early iterations of the caveman campaign.

Fun fact..Flo was a major part of the Mr Show live tour from about 10 years ago - despite not being an original cast member.

I don't know if mentioned before, but anyone who has Dish Network will know what I'm talking about. The Dish Net Internet service ads make me rage... They play on Root at least once every commercial break.

DirecTV has ads for DirecTV saying Dish Network is not as good. Pretty annoying.

Discover card with the twin twits, where the one calling Discover apparently has no idea her sister works the Discover phone bank.

1. Flo
2. Any weaseltheleoma/social security/injury lawyer ad
3. The McDonald's Red Couch ad (I agree - Dear God)
4. The Discover Card commercials - any Discover Card commercial
5. Wendy's - especially the new salad ones - her voice hits a note that is almost out of the range of human hearing
The one ad campaign that never seems to get old is the Sonic ad with the two guys in the car. They crack me up.

My father in law, who lived in india until he was 35, laughs his ass off at the old macdonald spelling bee commercial every time. Tonight he asked, "is that the real old macdonald or an actor?"

Re: What current ad campaign makes you contemplate homicide?
My wife and I broke down that commercial last night, as she actually likes it. I thought it would be highly unlikely a call to Discover gets to a live agent without the agent knowing who you are first. My wife says that since customer twit mentions she has the Discover It card call center twit doesn't need to know her identity to tell her what customer twit already knows, that she gets her FICO score on her bill. Which begs the question, what is the call for in the first place? Also, as an aside, call center folks are like cattle, they don't get their own cubes.PghSkins wrote:Discover card with the twin twits, where the one calling Discover apparently has no idea her sister works the Discover phone bank.
Either way since it's on every commercial break we'll have ample time to deconstruct it.

That red couch commercial is terrible. I just realized I've probably watched that ad no less than 100x this week and had no idea it was for McDs

I have no idea what this random couch commercial is and I've been watching ROOT all week. Drink another one Dudeman.
Anyway, listening to Madden I heard this commercial last week and twice today to confirm..Twin Flooring. The guy starts off saying "Do you really want some "jaboni" installing your carpet?" At first I thought it was Dunlap, but I don't think so, just some random jaboni doing a commercial. I don hate it I jut think its funny. He emphasizes "jaboni" too and he doesn't even say it right lol

Lucky SOB. Though I haven't noticed it tonight, it was draped all over the Pens broadcast.

Has anyone else noticed that all McDonalds commercials have 20ish above average looking people in them except for the Filet O'Fish commercials. The FOF commercials have these random ugly guys in them. It's like that every year. Is there a reason for this? Do only ugly guys like the Filet O'Fish?

That Heineken commercial with the guy in the way-too-tight blue suit dancing on a cruise ship is pretty awful.
