Re: A warz mod sign up thread: VOL 3
I'd like to do World Warz II (casue World Warz I wouldn't be as fun....and I know much more about WWII than I do about WWI...)
Sign up thread to come tonight (or tomorrow....) unless someone else is next in line.

Would you and NAN be terribly upset if I did it again, but in reverse. This time the village are Goombas and Koopas trying to kill Mario, Luigi, and Princess? Some special powers thrown in, that kind of thing?

Haha, not at all. Go for it. I just couldn't resist making the SP reference.

Wow, I clicked on that link and just went and read the last write-up. I've never seen the red team go undefeated.the wicked child wrote:Simpsons did it. Well, actually me and NAN.

Re: A warz mod sign up thread: VOL 3
I've only been involved in one other game that I can recall where there was a sweep... and that involved 4 absentee blue players which allowed the reds to just pick off everyone else. It was clear to me who the reds were by the end, but unfortunately, I couldn't do anything about it due to the lack of voters. Really should have been a mercy kill by the mod earlier when people vanished for like 4 days, but oh well.

We had a sweep in Pirate Wars, and we even got a recruit.

holy hell have I been playing warz that long? When was the first Jellyfish Invasion? Earlier that year (2010)?Crankshaft wrote:Wow, I clicked on that link and just went and read the last write-up. Yep, looks like early 2010. Still can't believe that we had 34 players for that one.

Speaking of Jellyfish invasion, the planning for JI:IV is going quite well. It's still going to be awhile before I have enough free time to mod a game, but I assure you that this will be another quality entry in the series.

I'd like to get back on my own horse as a full thought-out mod. Kind of tempted by the twists and turns of Arrow, and seeing how that might work. But I think JI:IV stands a better shot of happening first.

Re: A warz mod sign up thread: VOL 3
I had this fleeting thought for a "Last Man Standing" warz. But I then figured the twist might be easy to figure out.
Also would love to try a no-PM game. Where there are greens and reds but they're all disconnected, and have to rely on the thread to try and figure out who their side is. Some might still have powers via PM to the mod in a night phase.

I wish I had consistent time to play/mod a warz game. Maybe over the summer.

Re: A warz mod sign up thread: VOL 3
Just jump in. Or partner up with a co-mod who has differing availability. But I hear you. I'd like to get back to some original thought on games I tried to run years ago now in some cases. As long as you don't get permabanned or drop off the face of the earth without completing a writeup folks will be thankful you took the opportunity.Rylan wrote:I wish I had consistent time to play/mod a warz game. Though the standard quick game ought not require quite as much attention as a mod. However, redwill is our resident expert at that.

Re: A warz mod sign up thread: VOL 3
Unfortunately, I'm too busy at work to mod a game right now. I have things pretty much ready to go once I have time to do so. Someone else is going to have to step up in the meantime.
