I caught a little of The Rug on NHL Network yesterday when they re-aired the Philly-NYR alumni game.

Re: Racchi's rug
Lol 5 years...my god, back when this thread was made I was between my junior and senior years of undergrad! I remember, I had found LGP just about a year earlier, I guess right after they switched to the current board style. I was searching for an MP3 file of the Pens goal horn, which was fairly new at the time. Anyways, haha this thread popped up that summer and I couldn't stop laughing cause it made no sense. I remember thinking the guy who posted it must've been high

He has been back and even referenced The Rug in another post

Mark Recchi and Dr. Charles “Chip” Burke will be named to the Pittsburgh Penguins’ All-Time Team in a ceremony before Wednesday’s 7 p.m. game against the Montreal Canadiens at CONSOL Energy Center.
Team owner Mario Lemieux will make a special presentation to Recchi and Burke.

seemed like a good time to use the search feature.

Re: Racchi's rug
It's always nice to see this thread resurface around playoff time, like an old rash you thought you'd gotten rid of.
I wonder if slappybrown would ever choose isotopes014 as an LGP Member of the Day. And if so, would he be able to skip over one of the most classic posts in LGP history?

For no particular reason, up until that Seinfeld jpeg was posted, I always envisioned Bob Newhart as opposed to Wayne Knight (Newman from Seinfeld) when I read the OP...odd...

Racchi was recently added to the Pens Ring of Honor.
No word if the rug has accompanied him.

No joke, I registered on the forum just so I could find his posts

Though I'm sure I'll make a point of lurking and laughing when the Flyers lose.
