Fingon decided to unite the Noldor before Morgoth was ready for battle, and remembering their friendship in Valinor, he went out to search for Maedhros in Y.S. 5. He climbed onto Thangorodrim, but found no way to enter Angband. He then took out his harp and started singing; Maedhros answered and Fingon found him hung by the wrist of his right hand upon Thangorodrim in great pain. Maedhros begged his friend to end his torment by shooting him with his bow; however, with the help of Thorondor, Fingon freed him by cutting off Maedhros's right hand. This daring rescue, along with Maedhros's repentance for the desertion of Fingolfin's hosts in Araman and relinquishment of his claim as Finwë's heir to kingship over all the Noldor in favour of his uncle (which caused the Fëanorians to be known as "the Dispossessed"), did much to repair the ill feelings between the House of Fingolfin and the House of Fëanor.
Maedhros gathered his brothers, and united with Fingon and the other Elven Houses to create the Union of Maedhros in Y.S. 468, an alliance of Elves, Men, and Dwarves to drive the Orcs from Beleriand and lay siege to Angband.
If I read that correctly, how is Curufin red if he is from the house of Fëanor?
Curufin's goal is to find the Silmarils. His family (Feanor) was part of the Union of Maedhros, which was a Union between Maedhros AND people from Zaro's faction.
This in mind, I don't think shad is actually "red". Curufin's faction's goal, from my understanding, was the same as Zaro's faction: to defeat Morgoth's forces and find the Silmarils. Double check the color on your PM to make sure it's not actually red, Zaro.
If Zaro's faction can find Maedhros, perhaps we can figure out this union thing.
Brings it back to what I mentioned earlier, what do the greens do for the villagers? Do the villagers care either way if the greens fight amongst themselves? The only reason I'm not lynching shaf right this second is because it could be a day play for one green house to draw blood against another. Or I'm reading too deep into this. Or not enough. The hell. I guess if we lynch shaf and he's green, Z is in a world of hurt.
Shortly after, Beren came to Nargothrond to remind Finrod of the oath he had sworn, and claim his help. Finrod decided to help Beren, but Celegorm and Curufin, because of dark thought arising in their hearts because of the curse, and also remembering their Oath, persuaded the people of Nargothrond not to follow Finrod, and not to wage open war against Morgoth, making them fearful. Finrod therefore had to leave with a handful of warriors, including Beren, and later died. His nephew Orodreth was made to rule in his stead.
His brother and he, hunting with Celegorm's hound Huan, then found Lúthien, daughter of Thingol, as she fled to find Beren. Feigning to help her, they took her captive and brought her to Nargothrond, for Celegorm had become enamoured and would have Thingol give him her hand. However, Huan helped Lúthien to flee, and they freed Beren and other thralls from Sauron. As these thralls returned, the people of Nargothrond perceived the two brother's treachery, and though Orodreth would not let them be slain, he cast them from Nargothrond. Celebrimbor decided not to follow Curufin.
The two brothers met Lúthien and Beren as they fled, and Curufin fought with the Man. Defeated, he had to flee with Celegorm, but sought to slay Lúthien even as he did, and shot Beren with an arrow instead, though the latter survived.
Finally, partly because of Celegorm and Curufin's deeds, Thingol and Orodreth would lend no aid to Maedhros as he sought to unite Elves, Dwarves and Men in what was called the Union of Maedhros.
Curufin fell in the Second Kinslaying, when the Sons of Fëanor attacked Doriath to seize a Silmaril in the possession of the Elvish King Dior the Beautiful. His brothers Celegorm and Caranthir died with him during the assault.
One reason I hate Tolkeinesque fantasy is the ridiculous names of people, places, and items. It makes it hard to read sometimes. I don't like having to stop and sound out a word every 10 seconds.

If I read that correctly, how is Curufin red if he is from the house of Fëanor?
One faction of elves led by Dagny's character.
Another faction of Elves including Zaro's character.
Another faction of Elves including shad's character.
The reds which included Canaan's character.
I think shad's and zaro's factions could help the village if they unite, but could hurt it otherwise.

To further,
Dagny's faction: holder of the Silmarils
Zaro's and shad's factions: Can form the Union of Maedhros
Canaan's faction: the reds and followers of Morgoth.

Shad is claiming to be part of a faction with dagny.

So if shad turns up red all of this speculation is out the window?
