Watching The Kills live from Seattle on live nation. Had to miss the Philly show last week because of baby watch. Not the same.
Alison Mosshart is rather thin at this time.

I never knew Rob Halford, the Judas Priest singer, was the lead singer of Fight in the early 90s.

Re: Let's talk about music
I just watched the first of those Foo Fighters episodes. It really kind of blows my mind to see/hear a three second snippet of Naked Raygun on HBO:

They were quite excellent at the long ago bulldozered Skibo Ballroom at CMU.

ran across this CD in my itunes a week or so ago. Half of the band is ex-Raygun.
They ended up releasing 5 CDs, but there isn't much to be found on youtube.

Re: Let's talk about music
The DVR tells me that Nick Cave was on Austin City Limits last night and that it recorded it.
Here's the linkage:

Re: Let's talk about music
Random notes on the DC episode of Sonic Highways:
- It was funny to see Dante from Ignition throughout the show.
- Bad Brains!
- I'm surprised that they din't mention DC Space...such an important venue.
- Positive Force has been (still is?) intricately linked to the music scene, so it was nice to see Mark Andersen get a lot of face time.
- Pete Stahl is a cool dude. I shot the **** with him once, at a LAX airport gate about five years ago.
- This reminded me that the last time I saw Fugazi was at the Metropol and the sound was just terrible. Fortunately, I saw them 15 other times to make up for that deficiency.
- I've never been too hyped up on Foo Fighters, but Grohl gets 10 thumbs up for paying homage to his cultural/conceptual roots, in this and the Chicago episodes.
The Memphis episode was also good. Zac Brown seems like a pretty ok guy.

Sonic Highways is proving to be an all around excellent show. Just watched the Memphis episode and I learned that apparently I am a fan of Zac Brown.
And I also never knew that Willie Nelson wrote 'Crazy'.

I just went back and listened to their cover of Ministry's "Burning Inside." Wasn't bad until it hit the 2nd verse.Ad@m wrote:After reading about the death of Wayne Static, I had to listen to a few of my favorites.
