Went on an awesome date last night. Laughed and talked for 3 hours and the night ended with me trying to kiss her on the cheek. She grabbed my head and made sure i kissed her on the lips.

So... 24 hours later she texts me and says, "Sorry, your a great guy but i just wouldn't work out." 2nd time this has happend. Guess an amazing 1st date means jack ****...
Dang

That's like getting a goal called back on replay.

At least the last date I had before Mrs. PghSkins had the good sense to turn her head and make me hit her cheek when I was going for the lips to ensure I never called her again.

Are you dating 18 year olds?

Also, I like how this works. The last girl I dated was Thai and she taught me some words and phrases and then on Tinder (yeah, that's right) I get matched with another Thai girl who is obviously impressed about how I know some Thai.

No... apparently. "You're a great guy and I KNOW YOU'LL FIND SOMEONE".

Can't tell you how many women have said that to me.

Sounds familiar. Last girl I dated we had 3 unbelievable dates, spent countless hours laying around holding each other and making kissy faces then bam, she's with someone else. The crap part was from the beginning I made my intention known and she waits weeks to decide she doesn't want anything serious. Same excuse I always get.

It's tough because you have to really guard yourself to keep it from ****ing you up in the head. I've gotten to the point in my relationships to realizing that I'm just one text or conversation away from being single at ANY given moment no matter how good things are.

It tears you up inside.

The worst part of it was for the better part of the last 8 years I've been dead inside thanks to my divorce. I didn't allow myself to get close to anyone, this most recent was the first time I actually felt something for another person. At least I can take the fact that I'm not dead inside anymore as a plus.

I've already got another in my sights, and I think she's newly single. I've always been awful at making the first move but I'm learning to be more confident in myself.

I recommend reading Models by Mark Manson. It really changed how I thought about relationships and whatnot.

I always wondered how I would fare as a single person. I'm geo-seperated for the next 8 months. I guess I could lose the ring and find out.

Sadly you'll have better luck keeping the ring on. #scandalousb*tches

Yeah it was great. I even had a roommate who read it after me (I never told him to read it). Before he read it he was a super pickup artist kind of guy...I don't remember the terms but he would always do typical pickup artist crap...disrespecting girls to try to get laid, that sort of thing. But one day he walks into the living room and he announces, completely out of the blue, how much it changed how he thought and went about things.

Funny thing was after ghosting for a week before finally breaking things off she seemed to think that we'd just become great friends and couldn't understand why I wanted nothing to do with her.
