They had a DDOS attack from what I read. Basically people with nothing but time on their hands causing issues for others.

No wonder my game that was downloading kept going from 77%-%79 and it kept repeating that

Decided to pick up Shadow of Mordor since it is still on sale on Amazon... (currently $25.99). Really want to play that so might as well snag it while it's a good price.

From my experience, a recent game like that doesn't reach that price again for another 1-2 years. If the game is in high demand like a Skyrim, maybe 3 years.

I'm excluding future Black Friday prices in that equation.

The multiplayer in COD:AW is so frustrating. I swear half the time I get killed it is from someone spawn killing me from behind.

I've never had an issue finding games in Halo MCC. My issue is that I just want to play CE maps and everybody always votes for H2A maps even though there are multiple playlists just for that game.

I want a dedicated CE playlist, please.

I know people love the Walking Dead games, but I find Telltale games incredibly boring. They're basically a choose your own adventure film.

Favorite Zelda: I really liked A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds, also fond of Link's Awakening.

Disappointing: I didn't play Ocarina of Time until a couple months ago on 3DS so maybe I missed out on the timing of playing it when it came out but I felt like it was sort of boring. The fights were a lot of Z target, wait for the enemy to stop strafing or blocking, hit with sword, repeat, and pretty much EVERY enemy has this pattern (stalfos, clams, skulltulas, those werewolf things). It wasn't strategic or hard. Also there was a lot of running back and forth for ways to unlock new areas like getting a key for a gate to Death Mountain from Zelda instead of opening up areas by finding items. I get why that was done but the waiting really bothered me to the point where opening chests was frustrating because I had to wait to watch the little cut scene before I could move on.

I guess I could see where playing that now might seem outdated. It was pretty sweet at the time though. Also, the 3DS version is definitely easier than the original.

With regard to twc's post, my choices would be:

Zelda
Favorite: A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time. Just absolutely awesome games all around.

Disappointing: Zelda 2 (I never played the game boy ones, so I can't speak). But It doesn't stand the test of time, walking around as a little puppet with the occasional enemy creating gameplay, the whole power up experience points, etc. I just never liked it.

yeah, that one was never high on my list. There is a similar game, Battle of Olympus, that is somewhat of a clone (no overworld map, but similar side-scrolling), but Greek Mythology themed... I like that much better.

My favorite Zelda would be a tossup between Skyward Sword and Ocarina of Time for 3D and probably Oracle of Seasons for 2D. A Link Between Worlds was excellent as well.

My least favorite Zelda games however are actually the DS games... Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Once again, they aren't horrible, but they are a far cry from the usual quality of the series. My major gripes with PH is that moving with the stylus is extremely annoying. It makes the finals boss fight wayyyyy more difficult than it needs to be. I don't mind a challenge, but it shouldn't be due to the controls. Also having to redo that damn temple over and over and over again... pointless. And then there is the stupid puzzle that requires you to bring up the map screen and close the DS... something a logical person would never think to do.

Spirit Tracks improves on some of the issues from PH, but still is fairly weak overall. Trying to navigate the train with the stupid phantom trains everywhere gets old... as does the tower. Yeah, you don't have to replay the same sections this time, but you still have to climb the entire fricken tower to get to the next section.

I finally finished Watch Dogs today. It took me a while to get into it, and I'm not sure why. I was looking forward to this from the first article I read. I bought it at launch. I enjoyed the gameplay and the story was pretty good. I liked the main character; Aiden Pearce struck me as a combo of Reese and Finch from Person of Interest, and IMO, that's one of the best shows on TV right now. Heck, get the guy that plays Reese to star in the Watch Dogs movie if it ever gets that far.

The only thing I didn't like about it were the load times after you'd fail a mission, even after installing the game to my hard drive.

To each their own, but I had a very different reaction - Watch_Dogs infuriated me. Very poor storytelling, and the climax just didn't work.

Finally got my hands on my PS4.

Fun stuff. Plug it in... I'm greeted with a message that it can't connect to storage. Google this and find out that the HD tray/screw is often loose or missing. So I adjust the tray and tighten the screw and it finally works.

After all the setup and updates, I pop Diablo in for a trial run... holy ****. Load times are basically non-existent. Gambling is instant. Looks awesome. And I didn't even touch on any of the new content. Only downside is that I apparently need to be a PS Plus member for multiplayer. Not shocked I guess, but somewhat annoying. Now I know what to put on my Xmas list though.

Need to download The Last of Us, but came with the actual Disc of GTA V. Also received Shadow of Mordor today... may not sleep this weekend.

Messed with GTAV and Shadow of Mordor a little bit. Played the prologue on GTAV and the first bit of SoM. The **** talking orcs when you die adds a more personal touch to the game... and makes you want to put a sword through their throat even more. I made the mistake of getting myself into a pack of orcs before I got the hang of the controls and it did not end well for me. Seems like this one may be fun, but not sure if I'm going to actively play it right now or not.

Trying to get used to the Greater Rifts is Diablo. I think I have a better grasp of how it's working now. The Vault was pretty fun... got a crap ton of gold and some nice loot from Greed.

I have a love/hate relationship with one of the Demon hunter skill changes... a passive skill changed from 30% of Dexterity is added to your armor to when you receive fatal damage, you disappear for 2 seconds and reappear with 50% of your max life. I like having the protection against being one-hit killed, but my toughness took a HUGE hit overall... pretty sure that I lost over a million there at least.

Overall though, the upgrade has me smiling like a butcher's dog.

One annoying issue I encountered earlier... tried to pop in the first disc of the Sopranos blu-ray set... and got a black screen. Wouldn't load. Popped it in my PS3... no issues. Was reading that supposedly switching HDMI inputs on the tv and then switching back might fix this... pretty annoying though.

Did you port over your character from your Ps3 version of Diablo? to Ps4?

Yeah. If you played on ps3 or 360 previously, you can export your save and import it on either the ps4 or XBone. Pretty cool that they figured out how to do that.

I wouldn't have made the jump if I had to start over. Too many hours into these chars already.
