More people watched the League of Legends World Championship than MLB World Series and NBA finals:

I saw a similar story a week or two ago about the amount of time people spent watching Twitch broadcasts of the new Call of Duty. It was an insane number.

Can I get Lego Batman 3 for the Wii (regular one), or is the Wii done making games.

I believe starting with the Marvel game, they stopped releasing them for Wii.

Well, with Zelda coming out soon and the Lego games hitting the WiiU, it might be time for me to buy one.

I'd love to have that kind of talent... just incredible.
edit: reading some of the comments, apparently super mario bros. and zelda are the only two she had ever heard before doing this.

ESPN did a 30 for 30 or some kind of report with eSports. It's amazing how much that has grown. I forget what college it is, but they have an eSports team and are handing out scholarships now for it.Digitalgypsy66 wrote:More people watched the League of Legends World Championship than MLB World Series and NBA finals:

Re: Current video game being played
anyone play Hearthstone? It's a simplified MTG by Blizzard. I've been trying it out and it's slightly addicting despite me getting handled pretty regularly by people way better than me.
Also hit the jackpot scouting on FIFA 15. Found 3 youth players who have all graded out to 88+ at 19-20 years old. A RW from Brazil rated 88, CAM from Argentina rated 90 at 21 and a LW from Germany rated 88 at 19. Completely changed the fortunes of my Milan team allowing me to focus funds on the back end.

Re: Current video game being played
I have been playing Borderlands the pre-sequel for a couple weeks now. I am probably in the minority here, but I really like this game. I am level 26 of my first play through and find it hard to quit playing it. Played it till 2 AM last night. I even play it between periods during Pens games. FPS and RPG rolled into one, what's not to like?

SimCity 2000 is the Origin free game of the month? week? Something like that. It's free, forever, via Origin.com.

I'm WAY behind on games and yesterday started Stick of Truth and I haven't been able to stop spare to sleep. Every time I think maybe the game will end, there's 5 more missions added. Well worth the money on PSN.

Re: Current video game being played
Diablo 3 was awesome on PS3. It is just another level entirely on PS4. Some of this is due to the upgrade, some is due to the 2.1 patch that didn't get released on PS3/360. It all combines to a most excellent experience.

Re: Current video game being played
Little update. I finished the first play-through which unlocked the "true vault hunter mode". I am level 31 now and this new mode is seriously hard. It is basically the same game with better loot and harder and sometimes different foes. Quite challenging for my aging reflexes and hand to eye coordination. Still, very hard to put down. Addictive is the word that comes to mind. Fun stuff!!shafnutz05 wrote:FPS/RPG combos are probably my favorite type of gameoffsides wrote:I have been playing Borderlands the pre-sequel for a couple weeks now. Re: Current video game being played
My first game was Pong somewhere in the early seventies. My first computer game actually loaded into an Apple computer (with no hard drive) from a cassette tape. Don't remember it's name, but the players were only dots on a screen. I also had way too many computer games starting in the early 80's. I can't remember my first Atari, but it was something like a 2600, I think. I still have an Atari 5800 around here somewhere which I thought was the cat's meow. I still don't have a PS4 or a One, but plan on getting both soon. I bought two 4's and a One as Christmas gifts. The last few years I have tried to wear out my 360 and my PS3.SolidSnake wrote:offsides, how long have you been a gamer? since the Atari days? or more recently?

Re: Current video game being played
Right now the 3 is my favorite system. I played a LOT on the 360 (40,000 achievement points) but I tend to like the 3 a little more now. It seems to be a little smoother to me. I'm sure the 4 will become my favorite when I get it.SolidSnake wrote:That's awesome, what is your favorite all time system and game?
As for favorite game, that is a hard one. I am going to have to pick an oldie but goodie. It was one of my first XBOX games and I can still play it today. It was Tom Clancy's original Rainbow Six, Vegas. Let me list a few of my other favs in no particular order. Skyrim, Fall Out (all), Bioshock (all), Portal 2, Metro, Uncharted (all), Dead Space (both), Gears of War (all) and of course Borderlands (all).

Re: Current video game being played
Fallout, Uncharted, Gears and Bioshocks are all awesome. It's crazy how many good games there are out there to play. You're ahead of me in achievement score, I'm at 28K I think it's awesome you still play games, most people tell me when I get older that I wont be interested in games anymore but I definitely don't think that will be the case.
