Does that mean he's better or worse than Zeise?Kovy27 wrote:I'm pretty sure that Colin Dunlap can not be worse than the following embarrassments (aka media members):
Dejan
Mark Madden
Paul Alexander
Paul Steigerwald
The "Poni"
The FAN in general is pretty bad. To be honest, I'm shocked that it is still a Sports Talk Station and not a Classic Rock station by now.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
Dejan and Madden are my two favorite people in media. Often unapologetic and take views that differ from the Media. It's awful how much of a schill the fan is. They refuse to take hardline stances against Pitt/Pirates/Steelers. Just because you broadcast games doesn't mean you need to tow the company line.Kovy27 wrote:I'm pretty sure that Colin Dunlap can not be worse than the following embarrassments (aka media members):

Madden is all schtick. Now that shtick has made him $$$$ so good for him, but His show is unlistenable because of that.

I'd much rather listen to that than hearing day 3 of Colin Dunlap cry and moan about deflategate.skullman80 wrote:Madden is all schtick. Now that shtick has made him $$$$ so good for him, but His show is unlistenable because of that.

Filliponi says he can't have too much sympathy for te penguins regarding the Ronaldo incident because they have steve Downie and brought Carcillo in to camp. 90 seconds later he heads into the break saying "Do the Penguin need more players like Zach Rinaldo?"

Zeise was always one of my favorite radio guests when he was the football best writer and he's knowledgable as hell about basketball. He's just not good for 3+ hours.

He used to be a update anchor, he is ok even though he sounds like he is 12.

This is my view as well. He is good when he is being interviewed and only on for a few minutes. Don't like him as a show host.Dickie Dunn wrote:Zeise was always one of my favorite radio guests when he was the football best writer and he's knowledgable as hell about basketball. I can't listen to him because of this. It sounds like a whiny pre-teen talking sports. Probably unfair on my part.FreeCandy44 wrote:He used to be a update anchor, he is ok even though he sounds like he is 12.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
I find it funny that every time I give The Fan a listen in the morning it sounds like Colony and Miller are so fed up with anything Dunlap has to say. It really makes for cringy radio when it sounds so forced.
For instance, the random bit I heard was Dunlap saying they should host a hottest girl in the burg contest. Colony immediately goes "yea with two married middle aged guys, that's going to go so well" in the most "I'm tired of what this guy says" attitude.

The sooner Dunlap gets pushed back to late nights, the better.
