I'm taking my ball & going home. 3rd period meltdowns make for terrible Pens-related posts.

I never knew you could do things like this with a bird, but that's what mine does. Mine will even hang down like a bat off my arm and laugh like crazy as I sway or spin him around. That guy, btw, is an awesome parrot trainer... watched a number of his videos.

Won't post links or pics because there are some truly alarming images, but I just read an amazing story about a so-called 'zombie cat' named Bart. He was hit by a car and when his owner found the body it was lifeless and so he buried it.
Five days later the cat climbed out from the ground, and being cared for by the Humane Society. He suffered a broken jaw and numerous facial wounds (including the loss of his left eye), to say nothing of the dehydration and malnutrition coming from spending five freakin' days underground. But he is expected to make a full recovery. (Insert random nine lives joke.)
Of course, this happened in Florida.

Re: Make me smile :)
I was never a cat person. I grew up in a house full of dogs. When I met my wife she had 2 cats that became part of the family. One of them became "my cat", Zoe. The other is Crash, her sister. Crash is still with us at 18+ years old. Crash, cockroaches and twinkies; that is all that will be left after a nuclear war. Zoe was diagnosed with diabetes at 13 and lived for 2 years. That's a pretty good life span at that age. These 2 cats made me into a dog/cat person. I am dog person first and foremost but I have really warmed up to cats. Now that Crash is the last pet in the family she has changed even in just a few weeks. She is so super affectionate. That .gif is basically what she is like 24/7 now. It's awesome.

Re: Make me smile :)
There are a lot of cats that blow but all it takes is one affectionate one to change your perspective. We used to have cat named Pretzel when I was real little and she followed my dad everywhere. She was awesome and since then we had two others that were equally so. One was named Target and he would only come home to cuddle and sleep. Even if we forgot to feed him he would hunt something and just come home to chill. My cat now is named Chestnut and she's like a little dog.

Re: Make me smile :)
here's a picture of my dog kind of smirking...
he makes this face all the time, but it's hard to get a picture of it because if I move he pops his head up and his underbite comes flying out and he doesn't make the face again, so I had to zoom in to take this shot, but this face always makes me think he saying "chill out man, everything's good."
